As I was walking down the boardwalk to the park, I was starting to feel the guilt and regret I knew I would feel after my outburst at Adeline. It wasn't her fault I am a bitch. But I couldn't go back now. And the odds of them already being done with their dinner was high. They were probably going to go back to the hotel or venture downtown or something. I was almost to the park when a few girls came up to me.
"You're Jordan Connelly, right?" one of them asked. I looked at her. She had light blonde hair, and she was also very tall. Probably six foot. But she was lanky. The other girl next to her was just the opposite. She was short with dark brown hair and very muscular. Not fat or anything, just muscular. I noticed that the blonde girl's phone case had the 5SOS logo on it and the other was wearing a 5SOS beanie. I gave them a smile.
"Yeah, I am," I told them, a bit of cheer in my voice.
"Can we get a picture?" the dark haired girl asked.
"Totally!" I cheered. I took one of their phones and stood in between them, taking a selfie. I asked if I could take one with my phone, and they didn't refuse. I put it on Instagram with the comment "Just met some fans! In Canada of all places!"
"Can you sign my phone case?" the dark haired girl asked. I nodded, digging through my bag for a Sharpie. I finally found one and took her phone.
"What's your name?" I asked her.
"Brooklynn. B-R-O-O-K-L-Y-N-N," she told me, making sure I'd spell it right. I wrote "Thanks, Brooklynn!" then signed my name.
"I have a good friend named Brooklinn, but hers is with an 'i'," I told her. She chuckled. The blonde handed me her phone as well.
"My name is Jenna-Louise," she told me. I gave her a smile.
"Like Clara," I mumbled. She gave me a confused look. "Doctor Who," I clarified. She nodded her head knowingly.
"Jenna-Louise Coleman. Great actress," Jenna-Louise said, and I nodded, signing the same thing on her phone case as Brooklynn's but with different names, of course.
"Well, you both have beautiful names. And it was so nice to meet you! Did you get to go to the concert?" I asked them. They shook their heads.
"We don't want to go yet," Brooklynn said. I furrowed my brow.
"Why?" I asked, puzzled.
"Because you guys are still just opening. And we don't like One Direction enough to pay $100 to see them in concert," Jenna-Louise answered. I chuckled.
"Don't worry. We will definitely buy tickets when you guys are headlining," Brooklynn reassured. I couldn't help but laugh.
"Alright, well thanks!" I replied, giving them a smile. "Well, I better get going. I'm actually meeting someone here," I told them.
"Oh, where are the other boys? I meant to ask that earlier," Brooklynn asked.
"Oh, they just went back to the hotel or something. I don't actually know what they are up to," I chuckled, but I could feel that guilt and regret building up inside of me. Why couldn't this automatically be here when I make terrible decisions?
"Okay, thanks! We just wanted to meet the rest of them if they were here," she told me. I nodded. I would totally want to meet the rest of my favorite band if they were around.
"Out of curiosity, do you have a favorite? Or are you just an 'all for one, one for all' kind of girl?" I asked. Both girls looked down at their hands. I gave them small smiles.
