Once Jordan left, things were pretty uneventful. Except for, well, you know, the other boys. I actually had no idea what they were doing right now, but it was kind of weird. We were in Brian's living room, and Katy was in the kitchen doing something. Suddenly, I was under a pile of Cal, Mike, and Ash. Breathing was rough.
"Guys, please get off of me," I asked, too tired or irritated or something else to really give a shit. Cal looked at me.
"What's up, son?" he asked. I rolled my eyes playfully.
"It's Jordan, isn't it?" Mike asked. I didn't say anything.
"It's Jordan!" Ash cried, jumping off the pile so the others could get off of me.
"I think that we need to talk about this," Cal said. I groaned. Not again.
"No, seriously. We need to talk to you about this," Ash said, they all sat across from me on the floor.
"So, feelings. Tell us, Lucas," Mike said. I just looked at them and pursed my lips.
"C'mon. Seriously. We aren't going to stop bugging you about it until you tell us exactly what is going on," Cal told me. I rolled my eyes.
"Fine! What do you need to know?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"Just, everything. How you feel. Where you want to take things from here. Feelings about Adeline, as well. All the deats," Ash continued.
"Fine. I love Jordan. Okay? Is that what you needed to here? Because I love her. And I started dating Adeline because I love Jordan. And I thought she didn't want to be with me. And Adeline is a distraction. And I feel shitty about that, I really do. But I really want Jordan to know how I feel about her, but she doesn't feel the same way," I blurted out in a huge spurt. The boys' expressions didn't change. "What? Why are you all looking at me like that?"
"We knew that. We just wanted to hear you say it," Ash told me.
"Okay, so what do I do now?" I asked them, worried about the outcome of any actions.
"I think you should at least tell her," Mike told me.
"But when? I'm surrounded by Adeline 24/7. She's always there," I said. The boys looked at one another with grins. "What? What is it? What plan are you formulating?" I asked, worried.
"Well, Adeline's not here now," Cal said. Of course. I didn't want to tell her with the boys, but Adeline wasn't here now. I could tell her now. I jumped off the floor and ran to the kitchen. Katy looked at me surprised.
"Hi, Katy," I said, calming down, but obviously in a rush.
"Hi, Luke," she said, giving me a confused look.
"Um...I was wondering-" I began.
"If I could drive you to the bar to see Jordan?" she finished. I gave her a confused look. She smirked. "You're going to have to talk quieter if you don't want me to hear your conversation," she chuckled, setting a washed bowl in the drying rack and drying her hands on the towel.
"Oh, sorry," I apologized. She just shook her head.
"No need. Come along then. We've got a girl for you to find. I'll probably just drop you off, because then Jordan can drive you back," she told me, grabbing her car keys from a hook next to the door. "Wait, let me check on your friends," she said, turning back to the door to the living room, peeking her head out. "Will you boys be okay by yourselves?" she asked. I heard many yes's and sure's. She nodded, before turning back to me. "Let's head out then!" she cheered, opening the back door and heading outside, signalling for me to follow.
