Eggheads

It was a dark and stormy night. Dr. Eggman was up to his old tricks once again, laughing maniacally. "Yes, my minions. This may very well be my greatest creation yet." he said evilly. He removed a strand of hair from his moustache, and implemented it into his machine. A tube extracted some kind of fluid. The machine showed a diagram of the doctor's DNA strand, as it analyzed the hair sample. As the lightning flashed around the island, Eggman cackled with anticipation, like Frankenstein creating his monster, as Orbot and Cubot embrace each other in fear. "Yes. Yes. Rise, my creation. Rise!" Eggman shouted. Air pressure tubes are released from the machine, filling the entire lab with smoke. Then, suddenly...everything stopped with a simple ding. Eggman removes a tray full of cookies, with his villainous chuckle. The two henchbots are perplexed. "All that for cookies?" Orbot asked. "Evil cookies." Eggman corrected. "Sweet. I'll go get the evil milk." Cubot said, before heading out of the lab.

It's the next day, and you and Sonic are just chilling out. Of course, it's nice to just sit back and relax, but you've been so used to the idea of wacky adventure that something doesn't feel right. Sonic noticed your uneasiness and put his arm around your shoulder. "Babe, what's wrong?" he asked. You turned to look at him, and smile slightly. "Oh, nothing." you said. "Are you sure?" he persisted. He started to massage your shoulders to ease your noticeable stress, despite your efforts to hide it. Regardless, you started to relax a little more thanks to your boyfriend's soft touch. "I'm sorry. It's just that...I can't help but feel that something bad's about to happen." you said.

Sonic simply smiled, and pulled you to his chest. He stroked your back, trying to comfort you. "You have nothing to worry about, (N/N). I'll always be there for you." Sonic said with a soft voice. This made you think about what your conern from earlier. You were doubtful, but better safe than sorry. "Sonic?" you asked. "Yes, (Y/N)?" Sonic answered. "You don't think I'm helpless, do you?" you asked. You looked at Sonic, and he looked into your eyes with a loving expression. "Never. You are one tough girl, babe. And I trust you to handle yourself in a fight." Sonic answered. You smirked a little bit at that. He then pressed his lips on yours for a soft kiss, which you returned. No matter what happens, feeling his soft lips on yours always makes your anxieties just melt away. After that, he looked at you with a serious expression. "And (Y/N)?" Sonic asked. "Yes?" you replied. "Don't ever think you're helpless again. I'll always be there to protect you if you need it, but don't ever think that I would ever see you as helpless." he answered. Hearing those words made you smile, and with that, you hugged your hedgehog boyfriend tightly. "Thanks." you said. "Anything for you." was his answer.

After letting him go, he got up, and so did you. "You know what? Why don't we go outside and see if anybody wants to have fun with us?" he suggested. You liked that idea, as you felt some games sounded like an excellent idea. "Of course, Sonic. I'd love to." you answered with glee. And so, the two of you walked outside.

It was then, that Sonic suddenly stopped. You turned to see him sniffing, as if he caught some kind of scent. Suddenly, you caught the smell too. It smelled sweet. The two of you turned right to see a basket of chocolate chunk cookies and a glass of milk. "Wow, cookies." Sonic said, picking one up. "Hope this turns out better than the last time someone left baked goods on my doorstep." You turn to him with a look that said, "You mean THIS isn't the first time?" But of course, he was blank for a few seconds before shivering, as if reminiscing about some disturbing memory. "What?" you asked. He turned to you with an embarrassed grin. "I'll tell you later." he said.

However, that feeling you had earlier came back. So before Sonic could start eating, you grasped his arm. "Wait, Sonic." you said. "What's wrong, (N/N)?" he asked. You pointed at the cookie as you continued. "I have a bad feeling about this. Who would just randomly leave cookies on the doorstep, without even a note?" you asked. The blue hedgehog paused in thought for a split second, before looking back at you. "Don't worry. Weird stuff happens all the time, and also, I think it's just that déjà vu you've been having." he said. You reluctantly nodded. "Yeah, your probably right." you said, but you still felt something was up.
