Sonic and (Y/N)'s Excellent Day Off

You and Sonic both wake up to the sound of your stomach growling. Sonic looked at you, and you blushed in embarrassment. "What?" he asked. You didn't answer. "Are you embarrassed?" All you could do was slowly nod. "Hey. It's completely natural. You shouldn't be embarrassed for being hungry." he said. You felt a little more comfortable with that.

Sonic got out of the hammock, while you got up, and just remained seated. "Hey, (Y/N). Do you mind if I borrow your cookbook for a minute?" Sonic asked. "Why?" was your reply. "Well, you see. I don't know how to cook a lot of foods, so I want to borrow your cookbook so I can make you a good breakfast."

You gave him a curious look. "Wouldn't you rather have me cook?" you asked. "Hey. I want to do this for you. You deserve it." was Sonic's reply. "Okay. You can borrow it." you said with a playful smile. Sonic got the cookbook out of your bag, and started to scroll through the pages. Lucky for him, you organized the recipes by category, and the first section was breakfasts. You could hear him whisper the recipes as he looked through. "Waffles, biscuits, French toast,..." You couldn't help but giggle a little when he was surprised by one of the items, "EGGS??"

"Yeah, I'm guessing you don't like eggs?" you asked with a chuckle in your voice. "Well, I never said that. I guess you could say you wouldn't see me eat a lot of eggs. Especially because of a certain egghead." he replied. "Okay." you said. Sonic continued to look through until he saw an item that sparked his interest. "Ooh, pancakes. Interested in that?" he asked. You smiled. "That's sounds nice." you said.

So with that, Sonic got to work making the pancakes. After a few minutes, he brought a couple plates with pancakes on them, and put them on a table. You walk up to the table and take a seat. After getting comfortable, you got the syrup and some butter and started to eat (A/N: I forgot to mention this earlier; I apologize if you don't like pancakes, that's just how I imagined it)

"(Y/N). This is incredible." Sonic said. "I know I made it, but it's your recipe. You sure know how to make pancakes." You smiled. "Thanks for the compliment. Back at home, everyone in my family called me the cooking master; when someone had my cooking, they would always ask for seconds." you replied. Sonic smirked at your comment. He could tell that you had some cockiness in that statement. "I see what you mean. I'm honestly interested to see how all your other recipes taste."

After the two of you finished breakfast, you were curious what was on the bucket list for the day. "So what do you want to do today, Sonic?" you asked. He smirked. "Well, I know that we have been dealing with Eggman a lot, so I thought we could just chill and take the day off." he answered. "That sounds like a plan." you said with a smile. "Great." Sonic said with a big grin. You found his enthusiasm to be kind of cute. 'Cute?' you thought.

The first thing you two did was go for a nice treatment at the spa. This was one of your favorite things to do. You could tell that Sonic was enjoying himself. He was getting a nice back massage. You could tell that he can be very stressed at times; every few seconds you could hear bones and joints just popping as if he had to deal with a lot of things. "Oh, man. That feels good. I now understand why you're serious about your spa treatments, (Y/N)." Sonic said as he turned to you. "It makes me feel relaxed. So, I don't want my treatments interrupted; it makes me very grumpy." you said, looking back at him. "Okay. Try not to interrupt (Y/N)'s spa treatments. Noted." he said.

After a relaxing spa treatment, Sonic decided to show you around. Of course, you've had some experience around the island thanks to your past adventures with Tails, Knuckles, Sticks, Amy, and of course, Sonic. But the blue hedgehog wanted to show you everything. And he decided to show you some fun during this tour. He let you ride on his back while he went full speed travelling the island. You were a little bit scared, but after a few minutes you were enjoying the trip, cheering in excitement.
