Bella's PoV
"Where were you so long?" I ask Bani as she comes downstairs.

"Just.....here somewhere." she replies but doesn't meet my eyes. Strange!!!

I look at her thoroughly. Her back bun looks a bit cranky as if it had been grappled....face crimson.... Eyes restless....and her lips and dress.... I knew it!!!

"You were with him, weren't you???😠" I hiss at her.

I suspected it the very moment Veer denied us to let in his bedroom. I saw Bani walking on that side earlier. Just in a few minutes she got vanished but I could smell her perfume there when we were standing at the door. And Veer's odd behaviour just confirmed my doubt.

Without answering my question Bani steps towards our parents. But before she can move I hold her by wrist.

"Look....I don't want you to get hurt again, you get it?" I give her a patronising look.

"I don't know what you're talking about." she tries to free her hand but I grab it tighter.

"You know very well what or more specifically WHO I'm talking about, Bani" I speak to her with more force, "...Don't let him play with your mind. After what he did to you, I Don't want him to come anywhere near you or YOU to go anywhere near him ever again, you hear me, Bani?" I keep my gaze fixed at her.

Still keeping her head down, Bani nods her head. This kind of moments are very rare when I would speak to her as an elder sister, yet sometimes I need to. Now I need to.

"What are you two whispering about, huh?" Ahana comes to us smiling yet intrigued.

I smile at her, "Nothing... Just some sisterly talk." I brush off the matter hinting her that she's not to get into it.

Ahana smiles nodding her head understandingly, "Fine.... Enough of talking. Now come to the dining table. We'll have fun after dinner.😉" she winks at us. Yeah right!!! New year is anything but fun for me😑.

I move forward to leave but this time Bani holds my hand, "What about you?" she asks me.

"About me??? What???" I ask her back confused.  What is she talking about?🙄

"Aren’t you doing the same thing???" Bani gives me a scrutinising look, "...You're not getting married to some random guy, Bella. He's Mahir's BROTHER for God's sake !!!! Do you have any idea what you're getting yourself into??? You Won't be just stuck with Abhishek by marrying him, Bella. It means.... You are gonna be stuck with Mahir too.. For the rest of your life." she whisper yells at me.

Colors drain from my face. I know what she's saying is Damn true... But right now I don't care. Refusing this marriage will only prove what a loser I am to Mahir. And I Won't let that happen.

Without saying another word I head towards the dining table while Bani grudgingly follows me too. At dining table none of us talks much. I see Bani in deep thought while Veer gawking at her fidgets in his place like he's got to pee😏... And Mahir, well he doesn’t have much option but to pick at his food as by God's mercy or should I say Abhishek's mercy he has to sit a seat away from me. So no way he can stare at me bypassing his brother now😏.

After dinner we, the youngsters get to the terrace of Singhania mansion. We all sit in a circle. It’s pretty annoying how Mahir everytime would want to sneak beside me and get bashed by Bani. Though I don't know which part actually annoys me more....Mahir's lurky attitude or Bani's jerky one🙄.  Liar!!!

Godd!!! Can I just kill my mind bitch😖

"Okay.....so what first???" Kunal bhai asks.

"First get these kids out of here....then we'll think what next." Maan says showing the kids now sitting among us.
