The phone rings again. I flip it upside down and look other way. He's been calling me repeatedly since last night till now.

As if I'm gonna pick up!!!

I mean how dare he!!! He supports his rotter brother in all aspects and he expects me to accept it!!! Accept HIM??? Whatever happened till now all are because of this two assholes. They played the bet on us....they didn't bother us to tell that....they were the one again mingling with our lives.... That Veer...he said that he loved my sister....he put vermilion on her head...he's the one married her....he's the one promised our Pappa that he'd take care of her...And HE IS THE ONE TORTURED HER!!! He tortured her so much that my Bani had run on the street crying like Hell!!🥺

And that Mahir!!! What did he do??? He keeps bickering na...that Bani is very important in his life...he cares for her so much like a sister....then where was he when his fucker brother kept hurting my sister, huh??? Instead of taking actions, he kept supporting Veer till the last moment. Because of them we had to go to the Police station and I had to end up marrying in jail😖!!! At the middle of night. No family....no guests....no arrangement....no glamour... Nothing!!!!😪

And only because of them I'm grounded today!!!

"You're not the only one grounded... I am too..." I hear Bani before I see her.

She is standing at my door with a water bottle in her hand.

"What do you want???😐" I glare at her.

Bani walks up to me in mock concern and says, "Nothing! Just came to check if you have water in your room or not...it's pretty late na....and half married girl should not leave their room at the middle of the night, you know...."

I give her a death glare and Bani falls over bed laughing like a maniac.

"What's so funny, huh? What're you laughing at???😠" I bark at her.

Bani laughs even harder, then says, "What's not to laugh Bella?? Did you think back for once what an epic marriage you had!!😂 Oh my god!!!"

I make a miserable face, "I had no other option. Almost went into jail... And you are laughing😔!"

Bani looks at me grinning, "Aree....you think I'm laughing for that?? No!! You don't get it, sis. Actually you know what....jaha meri shaadi itna jhatke se hua...waha teri ek traditional shaandaar wala shaadi hogi...ye baat na mujhe hazam nhi ho rhi thi....but see....God has understood my sentiment and fulfill my wish. Hahahha!!😂...."

"Shut up!!" I snap at her and at the same time the phone vibrates.

Again!!!

Without looking at it I switch the phone off.

Bani frowns, "Why didn't you check who it is?? Might be Mahir jiju na...."

I reply snootily, "Exactly that is why I didn't check the phone. I know it's Him. And no way I'm gonna hear his stupid bickering right now!!"

Bani sulks, "God!! You're so bitchy😏. Bechara jiju is calling since last night but you're not even answering for once and neither are you letting me talk to my husband😒."

"Shut up about your husband!" I spat again, "You're still thinking about talking to him?? He's the one responsible for your misery...for my marriage...for us being grounded....FOR F* EVERYTHING!!"
