"Raveennn..!" Alex whined while bouncing on the seat of the couch next to me. I felt something start to poke me cheek repetitively. "Raavveeennnn..!" He kept whining making this weird tone that sounded like a dying whale. Alex kept prodding my face every time a letter from my name was pronounced. "Raaaaaavvvvveeeenn-" Officially sick of this I snapped at him. "What?!" Quickly I bit his finger that was about to poke my cheek again. "Ouch!" Alex pulled back cupping his finger, then a small pout took place on his lips. The pout was accompanied by the puppy dog eyes and for effect he starting quivering his lip.

I groaned at his childish gesture, knowing he's going to keep this up for a while. Letting out an exasperated sigh, I breathed out my words rather fast and bluntly. "Sorry. What do you want?" Instantly he ran off upstairs. What..? I could hear the muffled sounds echoing throughout the house and suddenly footsteps which seem to be picking up the pace. The hell is this spaz doing..!

Rolling my eyes, I turned my attention back to the tv where Harry Potter was playing. I started giggling at the scene, it's the part when Fred and George attempt to put their names in The Goblet of Fire. They were becoming really old then started rolling around fighting. I want a Weasley... Oh oh oh! I want me a FRED Weasley! Yeaahh, that's be nice... Right about now I had the most stupid smile on my face, at the thought of having my own Fred Weasley...

BANG* Pulling me out of my daydreams, a box had been dropped on my lap. Monopoly..? I rose an eyebrow whilst turning my head to be met with those familiar blue eyes. "Really? What are you 7..?" At my questions, he jutted out his lower lip into an over dramatic pout and started quivering his lip again. "No... I'm 6, and I wanna play monopoly..!" Alex whined in a high pitch voice, while flopping himself on the ground in front of the comfy black couch I was seated on. He quickly reached for the box and dragged it onto the floor next to him. Knowing he's not going to accept no as an answer, I gave in with a exaggerated groan.

Sliding off the edge of the couch, I landed onto the white fluffy carpet below. Alex was concentrating on setting up and dealing the money out, I could tell because of his gesture of biting his lip. I'd be lying if I said he didn't look attractive doing that... I felt a small blush creep onto my cheeks at my thoughts, oh gosh! What the heck am I doing, gross! I blinked a couple of times and shook my head as I adjusted my eyes on the tv once again. Sadly just as I looked up, the movie went on brake as the obnoxiously loud adds appeared on the small flat-screen.

"Dibs being the moneybag!" I yelled. Which caused his head to snap up instantly. "What?! Oh, hell no, no way! I'm going to be the moneybag!" He argued back. "Fine. Then have fun playing on your own", as I was speaking I had placed my bum back on the large couch behind me and crossed my arms over my chest, staring forward at the tv. I heard him groan at my childish gesture. "Rave you're so stubborn..!" Out of the corner of my eye I could see him fighting back a small smile as he shook his head disapprovingly, his jet black hair swaying in front of his eyes. Wait. Rave?! I rose an eyebrow and turned my head to face him. "What?" Innocence laced in his voice. "Rave..?" I hinted towards the nickname he called me.

Only three people called me that; mum, Ash and, Max... At the thought of his name I gulped, BE STRONG. BE STRONG... "Oh" was all Alex said, a wave of guilt obvious to see through his facial expression. He knew about Max just as well as Ash did. Alex has never called me that before and although I actually liked how my nickname sounded when he said it, every single moment in time when max called me that flashed through my head...

In attempt to keep the salty tears from making an appearance, I squeezed my eyes shut and rolled my lips inwards biting them. Then, the last thing I ever expected, happened... Alex had sat beside me, wrapped his arms protectively around me and gently pulled me into his chest. I hesitated for a moment still trying to be strong, but it was pointless. I relaxed into his arms, hugging him back around his torso with my face on his chest. Quiet sobs escaped my trembling lips as I began to hiccup.  Alex removed an arm from me so he could stroke my hair that had fallen down behind my head. As weird as this felt, hugging my brothers best friend who I had a small rivalry with every now and then, this was all I ever needed. Someone to just hold me while I allowed myself to brake down, I'd always push people away because I have built my walls so high and even a glass wall behind that to ensure no one would even brake me again.
