Letting out a shaky breath I didn't even know I was holding, I made my way to the kitchen downstairs.

Once I entered through the kitchen door, I stopped. I never really took in how it looked. The room was painted a creamy colour, with maybe 4 large windows that held green and white glass. The fridge stood in the corner next to our old grey cupboard, the pine kitchen table sat on the side of the room where it was isolated and lonely. The island bench was of course halfway through the room, just opposite the microwave, oven and toaster. The small silver sink was in between the fridge and the bench. It was small, messy and slightly crowded but it was still home.

I decided on making cheese toasties, so I placed myself infront of the bench where a cutting board already was. I grabbed the bread and placed 3 slices down, opened the fridge to grab the cheese and started slicing slim pieces of cheese off, basically jigsawing them together on the bread

As the second piece of bread was ready, I began to cut the slices for the last one. Eventually I cut enough and began to stack the third one. Out of nowhere, two strong arms covered by long black sleeves crossed themselves around my stomach. My body stiffened due to this kind of contact, I wasn't able to turn around though since my body was trapped between the bench and whoever was behind me. "Ashton I swear to god if you don't let go I wi-" my threat was interrupted by a slow chuckle, and we all knew who that was linked to...

A small but vicious growl rolled off my tongue as he continued to laugh. "Alex..." Speaking as if there were a horrible taste in my mouth whilst my eyes became slits. "That's me" he smirked, arms still snaked around my waist. "Sadly..." I huffed attempting to pry off his arms. Unsuccessful though...

Like a spark, an idea illuminated my mind triggering a mischievous smirk. "Didn't learn from last time sykes..?" His arms tensed but then soon became loose enough to slip out of, which I took the opportunity to do. "That's what I thought." Smugly smiling and shoving the soon to be cheese toasties in the oven. "I didn't get taught anything, but you're welcome to try" Alex winked cockily and spoke before I could. "Although, I do see that you got quite a mark. Pity it's fading..." His slender finger directing my attention to the faded purple spot at the bottom of my neck. "Thanks to you, you moron! It is not a pity it's fading, you don't give someone a 'love bite' if they aren't yours idiot, or the fact that it's called a love bite. a casual mark you just leave on someone you don't love" trying to contain my shuddering at the word 'love' each time I used it.

There's that twinkle... Those deep blue eyes, gained their sudden sparkling. This cannot be good...

"It was my pleasure ma'dam" speaking in a silly tone while jumping into a small bow then up again. "Although it is a pity, I didn't mind seeing my artwork walking around, ya know? And you aren't anyone's, I know you hate being spoken to as if you were a prize to claim. I don't own you, but then again no one does soo there is no actual reason why I can't do that..."

My eyes widened slightly at his words and calm tone. "Artwork?! You do not have a right to do that. Yes there is a reason though! I'm my own person and if you'd want to do that, well then buddy, you'd need my permission!" My voice strained, due to not having the strength to talk so much and so loud.

I could smell the charcoal crust and bubbling melted cheese. Thankfully it was ready! I couldn't stand another minute in this room! I pinched the edges of the toasties and dragged them onto a plate, burning my fingertips during the process. Gripping the plate and fast walking towards the exit with my head down, I barely brushed past Alex. But not before he spoke, making my whole body freeze for a moment...

"You'd never give me permission..." He spoke barely audible. A longline of grumbling began jumping from his mouth, none of which I could understand. "Why does this matter to you anyway Alex..?" Those words instantly turned him into a statue. Alex wasn't moving, as if he were now stone.

"Alex..?" I spoke again in case he didn't hear me. My voice was calm but also very cautious. As I spoke his name, my left hand grasped his shoulder making him react by flinching. "N-nothing" despite the small stutter, he had a serious tone. I removed my hand and just shrugged walking away afterwards. Strange...
