Chapter XXIV

She was sitting with him in his mansion and was ready to tell him of the business they had started.

"Brad?"

"Yes Babe?"

"I have something to ask you. And tell you actually."

"Sure what is it?"

"Hmmm this might be a little bold but...."

All of a sudden, his phone rang. Mabilis nito iyong sinagot without asking her.

"Chloe?"

Agad siyang napalingon nang marinig ang pangalan ng kaibigan.

"Hey what's wrong cupcake?"

She stood up as she saw how his face changed to worry.

"Tell me where you are. I'll get you now. Are you okay?"

Iilang saglit pa ay mabilis na pinatay ni Brad ang cellphone at kinuha ang susi niya.

"Hey is everything okay?"

"Something's wrong with Chloe."

"Can I come with you?"

"Yeah. Let's go."

Mabilis silang bumiyahe patungo sa kung saan naroroon si Chloe.

Nakarating sila sa isang tila frat house mansion. She automatically knew kung sino ang may-ari niyon.

The moment they stepped in, marami ang nakakilala sa kanya na bumati sandali.

Soon she followed Brad as he went upstairs. Natagpuan nila si Chloe in one of the rooms upstairs with only the bedsheets covering her.

She hurriedly ran towards her and helped her in putting on some clothes.
She was not awake, and she seemed weak.

"Brad. We need to get her to the hospital."

Mabilis niya itong pinasuot ng damit nitong tila nahubad na. Brad carried her downstairs.

"Brad, you go ahead and take her to the hospital okay?"

"Bakit? How about you?"

"Susunod ako. I have to take care of something. Just hurry and take her okay?"

"Susunod ka okay?"

"I will. Go!"

As soon as she saw Brad took off, mabilis siyang naglakad papynta sa pool area. She looked around for that familiar face.

Maya-maya lang ay nahanap na niya ang pakay.

All her thoughts and logic have gone out of the window.

Mabilis niyang nilapitan si Leslie na noon ay nakikipagharutan sa isang basketball player.

The moement she was near him, mabilis niyang dinaklot ang buhok nito at pinatayo ito.

"Ahhhhh!!!!"

Hawak-hawak niya ang buhok ni Leslie habang hila-hila niya ito. She savagely dragged her down towards the pool's tiles. Halos ibalibag na niya ang mukha nito.

"You bi***h! Hindi ka talaga marunong tumigil ano?"

Everyone in the party literally stopped and gathered around them. Halos maluha-luha na si Leslie sa sakit na nararamdaman niyo sa anit dahil sa pagkakahawak niya sa buhok nito.

"What the heck is your problem?"

"I don't have a problem with you. But I do have a problem at how you treat people especially my friends. Wala ka talagang kadala-dala Leslie. Hindi ka marunong lumugar sa dapat mo'ng kalagyan!"
