They were sitting across each other with their sons carefully sleeping on their shoulders. They're teething and this has been the third night na halos buong magdamag silang nakabantay sa mga ito.
Brad stared at the oval moonstone she gave her as their engagement ring along with her wedding ring.
They renewed their vows a month after the twins were born. Hindi na nila pinalampas pa ang pagkakataon. They chose a church in Batangas para na rin makadalo ang mga kakilala ni Julie doon.
Everyone of them were shocked at her actual social status. Ni hindi nila inakala na isa pala itong may kayang tao.
Manang Fe soon will be married again with her high school classmate. Nangako silang dadalo dahil na rin nakapag-desisyon na silang bilhin ang property na gustong-gusto ni Julie.
Dahan-dahan nilang ibinaba and mga anak nang matiyak na tulog na nga ang mga ito.
They kept the door slightly open, dahil alam nilang doon na rin sila sa nursery matutulog sa gabing iyon. They've set-up a bed for both of them inside the nursery dahil na rin hindi nila kayang mahiwalay sa kambal.
"Coffee?" Brad inquired. It's about 2 am now.
"Sure." dagli siyang lumapit sa stereo na nasa sala at pinatugtog iyon. Namutawi ang kanyang ngiti nang muling marinig ang Something Stupid na kanta ni Frank Sinatra. It brought her so much memory. "Do you remember this song?"
"Of course I do." bago nito inabot sa kanya ang tasa ng kape ay lumapit ito kay Julie at inilingkis ang mga kamay sa likod ng leeg. Soon, he moved with her as they danced along with the tune.
"Oh, we're dancing."
"We are. Remember when I told you that there was this something stupid you said after Chloe and Zac's wedding?"
Dagli siyang nag-isip. Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin niya maalala kung anuman ang ibinulong niya noong araw na 'yun.
"I do recall the conversation but I can't recall what I said. I must have been really exhausted that day."
"Yes you were. Very actually."
"So what was it that I said?"
"You said, you love me that night."
Napatigil sa pagsayaw si Julie.
"No way."
"You did. That was why my mood changed the entire time the next day. I was disappointed that you could not remember. But it made me so happy that you said it. That was also the same day that I made the choice to finally tell you how I really feel."
Napapangiti si Julie habang naaalala ang pangyayaring iyon. Pero bigla ay sinapak niya ito sa dibdib.
"Bakit pinatagal mo pa? Kung nagsabi ka nung araw na 'yun, I would have not gone anywhere."
"I wanted to tell you. But of course, I wanted to go bigger. Hindi nga ba, I prepared an entire proposal."
"I'm sorry babe. It was all my fault."
"No. It isn't. I have always loved you but it was too hard for me to accept it. I understood nung mismong araw na hindi ka na nagpakita sa akin after you asked me what we really are. I was so confused. But deep inside, I knew it was this stupid thin they call love. Hindi ko lang talaga maamin sa sarili ko."
"Well, I guess we really are meant to be. Aren't we?"
"Of course we are. Matapos ang lahat-lahat, ano pa ba'ng pwedeng itawag dito?"
"Of course."
"I love you. And all the things that happened to us may have happened for a reason. Minsan talaga kailangang subukin ng panahon ang tatag ng pagmamahalan ng dalawang tao. And you and I did it. We survived every single challenges there are."
She nodded and leaned her head against her husband's chest.
Maya-maya lang ay tumunog ang cellphone ni Brad.
Saka lamang sila naghiwalay at nagtungo sa mesa kung saan nakalagay ang cellphone ni Brad. Julie took the cup of coffee he prepared and sipped from it.
"It's Gunner."
They were in a group chat and Gunner was asking them for a video call. Mabilis naman nilang sinagot ang tawag nito. It was just in time since halos lahat sila ay nasa video call na, pati na rin si Michelle.
"Guys!" Gunner's voice reverberated all over the chat, "She said YES!" agad naman na pumuno sa screen nila ang malaking bato sa engagement ring na suot ni Tracy.
They're both in Texas to attend Tracy's last dance as an international cheerleader.
They all gasped in surprise.
"Oh My God! Congratulations Tracy!" mabilis na nag-chorus ang mga boses nilang mga kababaehan.
"You wouldn't believe what this guy did. I can't wait to tell all of you. We'll see you soon in Paris okay?"
"Bye guys! I need time with my future Mrs. See you soon!"
Another one of the boys were about to get married.
She smiled as she stared at the man who's been filling her with so much joy lately.
Who would have thought that life could get this good.
She has the most amazing friends, the most amazing husband and the most amazing angels.
She really could not ask for anything more.
