Chapter XLVII

She woke up early the following morning and decided to take a quick bath. 

Nilingon niya ang lalaking kaulayaw kagabi. His effect on her never faded. Parang sa bawat pagkakataon ay mas lalong umiigting ang pagnanasa nila sa isa't-isa. 

She took a quick shower and basked on the warm cool feeling she had. It was about six in the morning and she knew Benson as a morning person. Nais niyang tulungan ito sa paghahanda ng agahan. 

But as she was in the middle of her shower, she felt strong arms hug her from behind. 

Muling nabuhay ang kakaibang damdamin sa kaloob-looban niya nang siilin nito ng halik ang balikat niya. 

"Good Morning."

She smiled and turn to him. Gulong-gulo pa ang buhok nito at halos hindi pa bumubuka nga tuluyan ang mga mata.

"Baka mabinat ka. You could have just go back to sleep."

"And what? Miss my wife getting into the shower? No Way."

He bowed down and kissed her eagerly. His morning breath for some reason was like mint. She responded to his kisses with equal passion and soon enough, they were sharing the shower as he made love with her again inside the shower. 

Parang sila ang bagong kasal at di matigil ang pagniniig nila. Who knows how much love making would they keep doing habang nandito sila sa Tagaytay. 

After their shower affair, nauna siyang lumabas at nagbihis. She decided to put on a a cute yellow bikini sa ilalim ng mini-dress na isinaman niya sa mga gamit. 

Biglang tumunog ang cellphone ni Brad at napalingon siya dito. 

It was Atty. Almeda's name that prompted. 

She picked up the phone and opened the message. 

I've settles the annulment papers. Everything should be ready when you get back to the city. Talk to you soon.

Those were the words that were written. At tila gumuho ang mundo niya sa nabasa. 

How could she forget? 

Their deal is almost up. I she deciding to end their agreement? Of course he is. Bakit niya pipilitin ang sarili niyang maipit sa isang pagsasamang ang tanging dahilan ay ang kompanyang pareho nilang ipinaglaban sa pamilya nito?

Bigla ay nagsikip ang pakiramdam niya. 

They were having fun. This vacation is perfect and she honestly thought things could end up differently for both of them. She even thought of telling him how she really feels. 

Countless thoughts were running through her head. How could she be so foolish to even think that he'll stay for her. 

Hindi ba't ganun lang naman sila palagi? An on and off chase. But maybe this time, it's time to let it go.

She gathered her thoughts and got out of the room bago pa man makalabas sa shower si Brad. 

Nais na niang umalis sa lugar na iyon. But she didn't want to spoil everyone's fun. So maybe she could still set her sorrow aside and pretend that everything is okay. 

Nakangiting mukha ni Benson ang sumalubong sa kanya nang makababa na siya sa hut na tinutulugan nila ni Brad. 

"Good Morning!" he beamed and gathered a cup of freshly brewed coffee, "I know you would be the first one to get up."

She accepted the cup and sat in front of him while grilling some meat. 

"Did you sleep well?"

"I did." she didn't know how she managed to smile.
