After all these years, tinatraydor pa rin siya ng isip at katawan niya.

But I'm fine. Don't worry."

He handed her the folders he was carrying.

"Three of those folders are potential candidates for your new board members. I still need to look for the rest. The remaining folders are the release papers of all the people you just fired today.

"Do you think I did the right thing?"

Atty. Almeda sighed and tucked both his hands inside his pockets.

She nodded. The man had shared his fair share of wisdom with her. Pretty much, she understood why her father trusted this man.

She started reading through some of the folders that were handed to her. She saw prominent names inside the folders. Isang kilala nang negosyante, ang isa'y nagsisimula pa lang, and another one who's known to be a risk-taker in the business world.

She asked for a list of those who had expressed their interest previously in joining her Father's company. Those who have such passion about the products they have created and of the company's vision.

Despite having this list, she still needs a few more. And she has to be strategic about it. She looked down on her watch and noticed that it was already beyond lunchtime.

She has a lot on her plate right now and missing a meal is definitely not ideal. She stood up and grabbed her bag to have lunch. She has decided to have one of her favorite restos.

She drove straight to the restaurant that's not too far from where her office is.

She asked to be seated in one of the secluded areas.

As soon as she got there, she heard a very familiar set of voices.

"So, ano'ng balak mo ngayon?" the woman who was sitting right across the man behind the next table asked.

"I have to make a move. Sooner or later, kailangan kong pangalagaan ang sarili kong shares. I don't want to do it but I think I need to sacrifice someone to fulfill my plan."

Nagpantig ang taenga niya sa narinig. Did it mean having to dispatch someone?

"Well, I guess it's really long overdue. You can't allow that woman to suddenly swoop in and just take away everything."

"Of course I won't allow it. She did a good job hiding it from us. I was just wondering where she found the money to fund for the buying of everyone else's share and the constant payment of keeping the trademark."

"So if you'll come to think of it, if she's didn't choose to come back and recover her father's company, magiging stagnant na sana ang trademark an 'yun. But that was a very stupid move.
