He was standing in front of her house early that morning with a bouquet of roses and a whole vanilla roll of cake.

He messed up last night but he's there to apologize and explain.

Iilang beses pa siyang kumatok bago pa man may magbukas ng pinto.

She was still looking groggy and sleepy.

"Good Morning!"

He gave out his best smile but she seemed pissed off the moment she realized who he was.

She suddenly closed the door right into his face.

"Julie please.. kausapin mo muna ako."

"Go away!"

"Please. I promise I have a very good explanation. I just need a little bit of your time."

"Just go away, Brad. I'm not in the mood right now."

"Please?"

Sandaling natahimik ang buong paligid. Then slowly the door opened. She stood in front of him while holding the door behind her.

"What do you want?"

"I just need you to hear me out. Please."

She sighed and crossed her arms in front of her.

"A friend of mine needed my help last night. And the date just slipped my mind. I just realized about it nung nasa bahay na ako. I'm really sorry."

Her brows furrowed.

"Do you know how long I've waited in that restaurant? Three hours Brad! Three hours! Tatlong oras ako'ng nagmukhang tanga doon!"

He sighed. That was indeed a long time to wait.

"I'm really sorry. Just, something happened last night and I needed to help out a friend."

"Right. And you couldn't even give me a call. Kahit saglit lang. Kahit kaonting abiso man lang dahil may nangyari. I felt so stupid waiting in that restaurant, Brad!"

"I know and I'm sorry. Please. Let me make it up to you."

"No."

"What do you mean no?"

"No. I'm sorry. But maybe this is really a mistake."

"What do you mean mistake?"

"Let's just stop this now Brad."

"What? Like, stop talking right now revisit it later?"

"No. Let's just stop all of this, whatever this is."

"I'm sorry."

"Just stop Brad. I don't want to do this right now or at any time at all."

"Please I just need you to hear me out."

"I'm sorry din. Ayokong maging bias or unfair but you've had every opportunity to actually make a call and explain but nothing. As though I didn't matter."

"That's not true, Juls."

"Sorry. I just don't want to deal with this right now."

She soon closed her door. Alam niyang wala na siyang magagawa. Lupaypay ang mga balikat niyang umalis sa bahay nito.

He called out Gunner and asked if they could meet.

Soon they were in Maze. He prepared a bottle of the most expensive Tequila in the bar.

"Yow dude. Bayaran mo yan ha." Gunner tapped him in his shoulders as he too sat beside him.

"Ba't naman ang tagal mo?"
