Chapter XIX

She was surprisingly very nervous the moment she got out of the cab. She could not explain why she was feeling that way.

She reached Chloe's property na halatang may okasyon dahil na rin sa dami ng sasakyang nakaparada sa lbaas ng gate nila. There were two security guards assigned outside of the property.

The theme was blue, as it was her favorite color. She chose one of the dresses she didn't get to use at all. Her wardrobe is swamped with things she didn't really get the chance to wear, if she comes to think of it.

Agad na siyang pumasok sa loob ng bahay. As soon as she was there, the music coming from the party's area welcomed her. 

She took a look at the entire place. Maya-maya lang ay may lumapit sa kanyang katulong. Sinabihan siya nitong gusto siyang makita ni Chloe.

She followed the petite woman who fetched her from the party area. She wore a high-low off-shoulder dress that was almost a midnight blue shade. The hem in front was just a little above her knee, while the entire back was longer.

The housemaid led her to a room next to the study room. Ngumiti muna ang kasambahay sa kanya bago pa siya nito iniwan.

Nauulinigan niya na may mga nag-uusap sa loob. She hesitated for a while, not wanting to disturb the people who were inside.

Then slowly, pinihit niya ang doorknob ng silid. She peaked through the door and saw four men standing behind Chloe who was sitting in front of the mirror habang inaaayos ang buhok nito.

Chloe instantly felt her presence and stood up.

"Oh My God! You're finally here."

She smiled as instantly, isa-isang nagsiharapan ang mg kasama nito sa silid.

They all smiled towards her hanggang sa humarap nag pinakahuling lalaki.

Her heart seemed to have skipped a beat. He was definitely not who she would expect to be seeing at this party.

Just like her, he looked astonished as well. Tila siya nakatingin sa salamin dahil alam niyang ganun din ang hitsura niya sa mga oras na 'yun.

She suddenly got lost as she stared back at him.

Napalunok siya habang nakatitig dito.

"Hey. Are you okay?"

Muling bumalik ang diwa niya sa lupa nang hawakan na siya ni Chloe.

"Yes... Yes I am." pinilit niyang ngumiti.

"I am so glad you're here. I can finally introduce you to them. Guys, this is Julie. She's my mentor sa cheerleading. Julie, this is Zac."

Zac reached to her and shook her hand.

"This is Benson and Gunner."

Lutang na lutang siya habang kinakamayan ang mga kaibigan ni Chloe. Her eyes were locked towards his.

"And this is Brad."

Right at that moment, time seemed to have stopped. They both reached out for each other's hands for a handshake. As soon as that happened, tila dumaloy ang isang malakas na kuryente sa buong katawan niya.

She quivered at the impact of that feeling, and she's one hundred percent sure he felt it too.

Mabilis niyang nabitawan ang kamay nito.

"Nice to meet you." his piercing eyes bore into hers.

"I'm glad that you have finally met them."
