Wonho's POV...

As we stepped into the bustling Envy club, Lau, Melvin, and I were immediately engulfed by the vibrant atmosphere. The walls on the right side were adorned with stunning women, their allure captivating the attention of numerous men. Even Melvin couldn't resist stealing a second glance at them.

"Save it for later, buddy," Lau urged, pulling Melvin away from the enticing display and guiding him towards the expansive bar located at the far end of the club. I couldn't help but chuckle as Melvin shot Lau a disapproving look, just as one of the alluring women started making her way toward him.

"Dude, why are you cramping my style?" Melvin interrogated Lau once we settled down at the bar.

"I just had a feeling that you were about to dive headfirst into a world of trouble," Lau casually replied, signaling the bartender to bring us three glasses of Reyka Vodka.

"I would like to order a shot of Sunset Rum." a voice as smooth as velvet and as soft as a whisper called out to the bartender from behind me. The sound sent shivers down my spine and instantly piqued my curiosity. It was as if this enchanting voice had cast a spell on me, tempting me to turn around and discover the face behind it.

"You must be having quite a night to be ordering such a strong drink, beautiful," Melvin flirtatiously remarked to the woman standing behind me. She was so close that her intoxicating perfume, reminiscent of sweet candy, filled my senses. My willpower fought against the overwhelming urge to turn around and finally put a face to the captivating voice that had bewitched me.

"You have no idea how rough this day has been. It's not just a rough night, my friend, this entire year has been an absolute nightmare," the mysterious lady replied, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness, followed by a deep sigh.

"Come on, birthday girl, let's go have some fun," a sweet-sounding voice called out to the woman standing closely behind me.

"Damn, those two ladies are stunning," Melvin exclaimed, his eyes fixed on the pair. I managed to steal a quick glance as the two women made their way towards the dance floor, disappearing into the pulsating crowd. The first woman, with her caramel-brown skin, boasted long, curly black hair cascading down to the middle of her back. She wore a form-fitting purple dress that accentuated her perfectly round derriere, paired with elegant black stilettos that adorned her delicate feet.

The second woman, slightly darker and noticeably shorter, donned a black tank top beneath a light blue jacket. Her petite frame was hugged by a pair of black skinny-leg jeans, while her feet were adorned with black pumps featuring light blue straps. A voluminous, curly Afro crowned her head, adding a touch of boldness to her overall appearance.

My gaze remained fixated on the woman in the purple dress as she began to sway sensually to the blaring music, captivating the attention of everyone around her. Suddenly, Melvin tapped me on the shoulder, interrupting my trance-like state.

"Wonho, your phone is ringing," he informed me, his voice barely audible over the thumping beats. I inwardly groaned as I glanced at the caller ID, revealing my mother's name.

"Bro, you might as well see what she wants. She won't stop calling until you do," Lau advised, but I chose to ignore his words. I declined the call and powered off my phone, determined to enjoy the fleeting freedom I had without the weight of my impending responsibilities. Tonight, I craved an escape from the daunting reality that awaited me outside the confines of Las Vegas. Sobriety seemed incapable of granting me that reprieve.

"Give me a Sunset Rum," I requested from the bartender, recalling Melvin's mention of its potency. I swiftly downed the first glass, then proceeded to do the same with the second, seeking solace in the numbing embrace of the strong alcoholic beverage.
