The Nightmare

☬ Chapter Twenty-Eight: Back in the Game ☬

      Jackson, Hunnigan, Nereyda and Sebastian back away from Miles, Ada and Heather as they begin to unleash the black smog of nanobots. Jackson bites his lip as he tries to come up with a plan, they back up against the wall. Nereyda hears water running down into a puddle on the floor above them. She sees some of the black smog get splashed with the water, the nanobots hit with the water begin to pop. Nereyda lets out a sigh of relief, she glances at Jackson to see him already staring at the nanobots popping. 

         Nereyda and Jackson suddenly run up the stairs, leaving Hunnigan and Sebastian behind. 

''Nereyda! Jackson!'' Hunnigan cries out for them as she tries to run after them, but Sebastian grabs her and puts her behind him. Jackson and Nereyda run through the small waterfall of water just as the black smog envelopes them. 

''Nooo!''

         Miles smiles wickedly as he sees Jackson and Nereyda disappear in the black smog, Hunnigan fights back the tear's as she tries to help them. Miles laughing slowly dies out after a few moments, he smiles at Sebastian and Hunnigan. 

''Looks like it's the end for you two as well.'' Miles says as the black smog begins to move toward's them. Sebastian holds Hunnigan close to him as the smog is about to latch onto them, suddenly they hear loud pop's above them. Miles, Hunnigan and Sebastian look up to see Nereyda and Jackson standing perfectly fine, their clothes completely drenched. 

         Hunnigan frowns in confusion along with Sebastian and Miles. 

''How are you two still alive? You should of exploded?'' Miles curiously ask's as he looks around them to see the nanobots popping around them. He tries to cover them with more of the black smog, but the nanobots pop as they touch their damp skin and clothes. Miles notices this and squints his eyes at them, he nods his head understanding. Miles chuckles to himself as he begins to reel the black smog back in towards him and the other two standing beside him. 

''I wanted to help you to have a quick death, but it seem's as though you want it the hard way. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised. These two are at full capacity,''' Miles says as he points at both Ada and Heather, ''You all will deal with them. I have other matters to attend to at the moment. It seem's like Carla and the other's are need of some assistance.'' Miles begins to walk away from them, towards the double doors leading the lab. Jackson and Nereyda run along the walkway toward's Miles, they both leap over the railing. As they are both about to land in front of him, Ada and Heather leap into the air and perform a high jump kick on them, sending Nereyda and Jackson soaring back through the air. 

        They both slam their back's against the wall, cracking it. Sliding to the ground Hunnigan and Sebastian run over to them and help them up. 

''We can't let him go!'' Jackson screams as he stands up and runs at Miles, who is already past the double doors. Heather and Ada jump in front of him, blocking his path. 

         Carla fall's to her knees, blood trickling down the side of her mouth, her nose broken. She looks up to see Chris standing there with the rusty pipe in hand. Carla glances back to see Cybil ripping off the head of the Twin. Looking to her side the Doctor attempt's to get on all four's, his left eye pop's out from its socket. Chris twirls the pipe in his hand and hits the Doctor in the side of the head, on the temple. Killing him instantly. 

''But how?'' Carla quietly ask's Chris, he smirks at her and swings the pipe at her, hitting her in the side of the face. She falls to the side, spitting blood out onto the dirty ground. She slowly looks up at him and adjust's her jaw. 

         Chris looks over at the glass cube to see Jill leaning against it, her face slightly bloodied up with Bug crouching down in front of her trying to help her.
