The Nightmare

☬ Chapter Eighteen: The Game Changer ☬

      Walking into the chamber the group takes a seat where they can find one. Hunnigan sits down next to Nereyda on the floor, "Jill what are we gonna do about Ada, Miles and Heather? We can't just leave them there." Hunnigan ask's as she clasps her hands together. Glancing down at her hands she shakes her head, "We can't leave them down there." She softly says to herself. 

"We are gonna rescue them from the Asylum." Jill says confidently. Her confidence subsides as she sorrowfully looks down at her feet, "I saw the entire thing at the Mansion. I saw the missile that hit Ada, Miles and Jackson. I saw...you're friends death. I saw them taking away Ada, Heather and Miles. I saw it all." Jill says as she crosses her arms nervously, everyone looks up at her in confusion. 

 "What do you mean?" Bug ask's as he leans in to closely to Jill. Jill takes a deep breath of air before pushing herself off the wall and stands at the center of the chamber. 

"I installed mini camera's into the Mansion by myself while you all were in Colorado. I'm sure Ada caught me on at least one camera, right?" Jill ask's to no one in particular. Everyone nods their heads

"Well afterwards I headed back here and just waited. When you guys got back I listened in on you're discussion at the table, about the evidence you all collected. I also listened to what you found Hunnigan and I have to say, you were spot on. You and Sebastian did great. but you all missed one clue." Jill says as she walks over to a wall full of computer monitors. She pulls out a keyboard and begins typing a few buttons, suddenly an image of the Asylum pops up covering all the screens.

"Umbrella isn't the only corporation working at that Asylum. There's another company that recently started to work along side Umbrella to conduct experiments. The Murkoff Corporation joined Umbrella at the Asylum in 2009. Since then they've both been working togther to create what they have today. And Nereyda you were right about Dahlia being cloned there. I just don't know how she was able to be cloned. It must have something to do with this machine." Jill says she turns around types more buttons on the keyboard, suddenly blue prints of a machine with the code name 'Pyro' written at the top corner. 

"What the hell is that?" Sebastian anxiously ask's as he tries to make out the photo. 

"That's what I don't know, I feel like this holds the key to finding out how Dahlia was cloned and why they need Chris and Cybil." Jill says as she steps away from the desk to let Hunnigan and Bug examine the image. "Do you have a paper copy of this?" Hunnigan curiously ask's. 

      Jill nods her head, she pulls out a blue print copy of Pyro from the desk drawer and hands it to her, Hunnigan nods her head. Bug and Hunnigan both sit down at the desk and begin to examine it. 

"So why did the two companies decide to work together? Umbrella's already powerful enough, why bother working with someone else?" Jackson ask's as he frowns in confusion. 

      Jill turns around and types a few keys on the board, images of Walker and the Twins pops up. "Before when it was just Umbrella they only wanted to clone and reproduce enough to create an army. I'm not sure what they want the army for, but we can suspect it won't be pretty. But the monsters they created weren't strong enough to handle much damage. So they found another company that dealt in illegal activity. Together they created a substance that would make a powerful creature." Jill says as she looks around the room, everyone nods their heads understanding everything. 

 "So their first test subjects were some of the inmates at the Asylum. Thus why Walker and Twins and other inmates are so strong and hard to take down." Jill says as she looks back at the images. 

    Bug shakes his head, "That's why they were so difficult to take down and how easily they took us out. We were ill prepared and that won't happen again."

"Yes, and the only way to completely destroy them is to destroy the chip that's implanted in their brains or to destroy their hearts." Jill says as she crosses her arms. A slight chill runs up Sebastian's spine, he shakes and tries to shake off the feeling. Jackson stands up from his chair and puts a hand on his hip, "How the hell were you able to get all of this information?"

       Jill sighs as she glances at Bug, he nods his head. "I got it the last time I snuck into the Asylum. I was trying to find Chris and Cybil, but I couldn't find them. Instead I found Bug being tortured by a Doctor, who had the substance injected into him. I saved him and we made our way to the Laboratory, Bug was barely able to hold himself together, but we managed to hack the sytem. I was able to take photos of some things before we ran out of time. We escaped through a drainage pipe in the lab. All of the information I told you I got from the photos I took." Jill says as she pulls out a small camera phone from her desk drawer. 

"How are we going to get inside the Asylum?" Sebastian ask's. 

       Jill grabs a blueprint of the Asylum from under her mattress and places it on the table. "This is the entire first floor and second of the building. When I first came into the building it was through one of the side doors. When Bug came he went through the second story window. When we escaped it through the Lab and it led out to the back woods, not far from the Asylum. There's a latch a the back that leads to the cells of the Asylum. That should be where Ada, Miles and Heather are." Jill says as she sits down in a chair. 

      Jackson looks up at Jill, "Who's running all of this? We know Wesker isn't or Dahlia anymore. Who's taken over for Umbrella? And who's running the Asylum and Murkoff?" Jackson ask's as he glances down at the blueprints. 

 "I'm sorry, I don't have the answer's for you. All of our questions will be answered in that building. It's our only hope." Jill sighs as she sets her elbows up on the table. 

"Do...do you think we'll make it back from this, this time?" Bug curiously ask's as he glances back at Jill. "I mean we barely made it out last time, getting in was bad enough too." Bug says as he slides back in his chair to face Jill. Hunnigan turns around also to listen. 

     Jill shrugs her shoulders, "Who know's Bug. For all we know we could die getting there. But like you guy's said it might be our last assault on Umbrella, so we have to be extra careful and more persistent. We are the last of the best agents in the world. Just us." Jill says as she stands at the center of everyone, going from face to face, looking them all in the eyes. "This is what it's come to. This war against Umbrella and any other corporation associated with them is going to end, with or without us. So we have to give hope to anyone else thinking about doing what we are, if we fail. We've lost lots of friends close to us on this excruciating journey. Too many friends." Jill says the last part softly to herself as she begins to remember everyone she's lost due the fight against Umbrella. 

"This last attack is for our fallen brothers and sisters. We have to finish this for them!" Jill says as she throws her fist to the air, everyone quickly does the same thing. Jill smiles brightly as she slowly sets her fist down to her side. "I just hope everyone up there in Heaven is looking down on us, watching over us. We're gonna need it. Especially is they have an army." Jill chuckles along with everyone else. 

"We should all get some sleep, you guy's need it. And tomorrow at noon, we are heading out to Colorado. I'm sure Hunnigan and Bug can come up with something." Jill says as she glances at them to already see them working on the computer. 

      Hunnigan holds a thumbs up, "You can count on us." Jill smiles, "Good." 

      Everyone begins to make their beds on the floor, after a few minutes Hunnigan and Bug to the same after they finish. 

"Goodnight everyone." Jill softly says to herself.
