The Nightmare

☬ Chapter Thirty-One: Death and All His Friends pt. 1 ☬

''Nereyda!'' Chris and Cybil cry out for her, Nereyda groans as she attempts to pull herself up but fails. Miles crouches down in front of her and slightly tilts his head to the side. 

''Poor little girl, looks like this is the end for you.'' Miles stands back up and places his foot over her left hand, he begins pressing down hard on her. Nereyda groans in pain as she moves that hand out the way, she gasps as she looks down at the floor below her. Looking back up she sees Miles about to press down on her remaining hand. 

''Please don't do this Miles. Please!'' Nereyda pleads for him to stop, but he shakes his head no. He presses down on her hand, she cries out in pain as her hold begins to loosen. Jackson suddenly appears from behind with a rock in hand, he bashes in the temple. Miles falls to the side, slightly paralyzed from the sudden blow to the head.

          Jackson grabs her hand and helps her back up, she puts an arm around his neck for support as they back away from Miles. Hunnigan and Sebastian stand up as they stand beside Jackson and Nereyda. 

''We can't defeat him. He's too strong and after what ever he drank from his veins, he's even stronger.'' Hunnigan says as she sees the veins on Miles' body throbbing. 

         Nereyda nods her head, ''You're right. He is too strong for, but if we hold out long enough for the others to come back. We'll be fine. We just have to stay strong.'' Nereyda says in a hush voice, she looks back at Hunnigan to see her staring straight at Miles, scared. 

''We just have to believe in them. Just like they are believing in us right now.''

         Miles begins to cackle as he shakes his head at Nereyda, ''Bullshit. They are using you guys as bait, while you're here facing me they are half way across the world right now. You're alone. No one is coming!''

         Nereyda charges at Miles alone, Jackson calls out for her, but she ignores him. He runs after her. 

         As Nereyda passe a pipe she scoots it up and runs with it, she launches herself into the air and swings the pipe down on Miles head. Miles stands perfectly still as blood runs down the side of his head, but Miles doesn't react to the pain. He simply grabs the pipe from Nereyda and throws it over his shoulder. He punches her in the ribs, breaking a few of them. Nereyda screams out in pain as she topples over in pain. 

        Nereyda's scream echoes throughout the lobby, grabbing everyone's attention. Cybil sees a chance and takes it. She stabs the needle into Heather's arm injecting Miles' blood, Heather instantly kicks Cybil in the chest sending her soaring back. Cybil collides into the wall and smashes through it. Heather pulls out the needle and drops it.

        She begins to get drowsy as she holds onto the wall for support, Heather cringes as she feels a burning feeling in her chest. The nanobots in her blood system and nerve system begin to pop as Miles' blood fuses with hers. Heather than begins to feel a range of emotions from anxiety to pure bliss. She lets out a blood curdling scream as she begins smacking herself in the face. Ada ignores the events happening and attacks Chris, who is caught off guard. 

          Heather's falls to her knees as tears pour down her face. She lays her face in her hands, crying her soul out. Heather's skin begins to change back to it's original pale color. Heather looks up to see Bloody Heather standing in front of her, on her knees as well. 

''You lied to me, all this time. You tried to get me to fail so you could take control.'' Heather says slowly as she tries to catch her breathe. 

         Bloody Heather looks up at Heather, with tears swelled in her eyes, Heather gasps.
