The Nightmare

☬ Chapter Twenty-Three: The Walrider's ☬

Jill, Nereyda and Sebastian rush to him to help him out, Jill turns him onto his side so he won't choke on his blood. He begins couching up the blood, Nereyda sigh's as she shakes her head, "What the hell happen to you?" She ask's as she wipes away some of the blood from his mouth. They all begin to cough loudly as the smoke begins to enter the hallway, everyone looks at the double doors at the end of the hallway to see flames in the room. Sebastian turn's around to see a hallway behind him, "We can take this hall. We can probably avoid the fires."

Sebastian helps Miles up on his feet and follows Nereyda and Jill. Jill and Nereyda take out their handguns with their flashlights next to it aimed ahead of them. They hear loud screaming and shouting in the distance. Walking through puddles and blood they see a few bodies on the floor.

"What the hell is that screaming? It sounds so demonic." Jill says as the screams echo throughout the halls. She holds up her fist to signal them to wait, looking ahead they see a man sitting in a wheelchair facing away from them. Jill holds up her handgun and takes aim at the bald man sitting down, she slowly makes her way towards him. She stands in front of him to see his face completely carved off, but still alive. Jill shakes her head, "Jesus." She quietly says under her breath.

Everyone passes by him, the faceless man completely ignoring them.

"I can't believe they just left him like that." Nereyda says as she glances back at the man. Looking forward again they see the hall split into two, the left leading to another and the right leading downstairs. They shine there lights up at the signs above the halls.

"The left goes to the cells, but it doens't say anything for the the right. We should just go to the left. And then we'll come back to go downstairs." Jill says as she shines her light into the hallway on the left. They tread to the left into the hallway. As they round a corner they see 6 inmates running at them with pipes and shards of glass. As Nereyda is about to shoot at them, Jill charges at them with her knife in hand.

"We need to conserve our ammo!" Jill shout's at Nereyda, while charging at the inmates. Jill ducks down as an inmate swings at her head, she digs the knife into his thigh. The inmate crouches down in pain, she stabs him in the temple on the side of his head. Quickly turning around she blocks a pipe coming down on her head with her knife, she punches the man in the gut. Standing up tall she elbows him in the back of the neck, he falls onto his knee's. Jill quickly rolls over his back as two inmates swing their pipes and shards of glass at her. The pipe hits the inmate in the head and the glass leaves a long and deep gash in his back.

Jill holds up her knife in defence as she eyes the last 4 of them. She runs at them from the side, leaping off the wall she kicks one of the inmates in the face. He stumbles into another inmate causing them to fall onto there backs. Jill quickly hits an inmate on her left with her knee in the groin, he yells out in pain. She quickly grabs him by the neck and twists it. And inmate grabs her from behind and wraps his arms around her chest, holding her arms in place. She stomps on his foot and head butts him with the back of her head. Swiftly spinning on her heel she butterfly kicks him in the face sending him face first to the wall, she proceeds to grab him by the back of the head and smash his face twice into the wall. Tossing him to the side she looks back to see the last 2 inmates standing up.

Nereyda stands next to Jill, they both look at each other and nod. Sebastian and Miles watch them as they easily take down the last two inmates. Nereyda tosses the lifeless body to the ground, Jill wipes away some blood from her hands on her pants.

"We should get going before more come." Jill says as she begins to walk fast down the hall. Nereyda glances back at Sebastian, he nods his head.

Jill ahead of everyone arrives at the cells, looking left and right she sees people passed out on beds as she passes them. Shaking her head she turns around to see Nereyda, Sebastian and Miles make it.
