The Nightmare

☬ Chapter Thirty: For Better or For Worse ☬

          Jill begins shooting behind her as she and Bug make their way to the elevator, she glances back to see a Weeping Bat getting close to them. She takes a shot and shoot's it in the forhead, it falls from the ceiling dead. Another Weeping Bat passes the Bogeyman, bumping into him. The Bogeyman swiftly swings the sledgehammer up, smashing the Bat against the ceiling. Blood rains on him, covering his entire body in blood. Jill shoots the Bogeyman in the chest and legs to slow him down, but he doesn't flinch or make any sort of noise. Blood Mama begins to form from the puddle of rain, her head pops out from the puddle and begins to move with the puddle towards Jill and Bug. 

          Blood Mama leaves behind a trail of thick red blood behind her. Mama makes her way through the Bogeymans legs and heads close to Jill. Bug makes it to the elevator doors and presses the up button on it, he looks back and begins to push it several times hard. Sweat begins rolling down his face as he  hears the elevator making it's way back down. Jill puts her back to the sliding door and shoots recklessly at Mama, hitting her in the face. 

''Hurry up! Hurry up!'' Bug shouts as he continues pressing the button. Jill reloads the handgun and continue firing at both creatures heading towards her. The elevator dings and the doors open, Bug smiles brightly as he quickly runs inside. Jill turns around and takes a step inside before being dragged back by her feet. Jill screams as she looks back to see Mama pulling her towards her, Mama opens her mouth wide, revealing her tiny rows of sharp pointy teeth. Jill shoots her in the mouth several times before Mama lets her go. Jill looks behind Mama to see the sledgehammer coming down on Mama. 

          The Bogeyman bashes Mama's head in from the back, killing her. Jill quickly turns around on all fours and rushes to the elevator to see Bug trying to hold them open for her. As Bug closes the door's Jill slides in, barely making it. The Bogeyman reaches out to grab them, and gets his arm caught in the door. He reaches out for them, Jill and Bug press their bodies against the far wall, inches away from being grabbed. 

''Jesus Christ!'' Bug screams in horror. Jill checks her ammo to see her down to her last few bullets, she shoots his arm. The Bogeyman winces in pain as he retracts his arms and lets the door's close. Jill and Bug slow down their breathing as they both slide down to the ground, Jill checks her ammo and see only four more bullets left in her handgun. 

''What the fuck is going?! That wasn't supposed to happen! We can't go back down their for anything, there were way too many creatures down their for us to handle.'' Bug cries out as he shakes from the thought of all the creatures. Jill nods her head, agreeing with him.

''Let's just worry about getting to the others. We have the hard drive, so we have no need to go back down there anyways.'' 

           Bug looks down at Jill's ankles to see Mama's blood stained hands marked on her. He then see's blood beginning to fill up in the elevator. Bug and Jill immediately stand up as the thick red blood makes it to their ankles. They hear the soft laughter of Mama, the hairs on the back of Bug's neck raise up. They both look down to see Mama's face in the blood. Bug screams in horror as Mama grabs both their legs and to hold them down as the blood continues to fill up the elevator.

''Inject them with Miles' blood? How is that gonna change them back?!'' Sebastian curiously ask's as he sees Chris scoop some blood into a vile shot. 

       Chris splits the blood into two vile shots and places his knife back into his chest pocket. He gives a vile to Cybil. ''Miles' blood is mixed with the PTC virus, which was a mixture of the T, C and Progenitor virus. If that blood were combine with Ada's or Heather's blood, the cells in each of their bodies could kill each other. Thus leaving nothing but their original blood and the nanobots in their stream will simply disintegrate.'' Chris says as he smirks at Miles who is thoroughly pissed off.
