The Nightmare

☬ Chapter Thirty-Three: Death and All His Friends pt. 3 ☬

          Ada groggily opens her eyes to see Chris and Heather standing over her, she looks around the bright lite room to see fire everywhere around them. Ada looks past them and sees Cybil still hanging from the chandelier as the floor gives out and her body falls into the pit of fire. Ada looks away from her and tries to get up with the help of Chris. The three of them watch as pieces of burning wood falls from the ceiling around them. 

          The floor a few feet from them explodes, furniture and pieces of the floor thrown in every direction. The fire spreads throughout the building, burning inmates and creatures alive as they try to escape. 

''Ada! Cybil! Chris!'' Nereyda screams for their names as her and the group try to make their way through the Asylum. They see a door slightly cracked in front of them, Sebastian peeks through and sees Chris and Ada with their backs to each other. He tries to get their attention, but the loud crackling fire keeps them from hearing Sebastian. 

''I can see them! They are in the lobby! We need to get in there! But...I don't see Heather, where is she?'' Sebastian shouts back at the others, Jill looks back down the hall and sees the fire creeping closer to them. She coughs a few times as the black smoke fills the air, she bends down a little to get out of the smoke. 

        Jackson and Nereyda tackle the door down and quickly roll off of it before they could catch on fire. Sebastian, Jill and Hunnigan quickly run out the hall as the ceiling crashes down in the hallway. Sebastian and Heather lock eyes, both their jumps in excitement and bliss. They both run to each other and embrace each other in a hug, Sebastian holds her tight in his arms. 

''I'm so happy you're okay. You don't know how worried I was about you.'' Sebastian softly says in Heather's ear, she burries her face deeper into his neck. 

          Heather kisses him on the cheek, he looks down at her and smiles. 

''We need to get out of here! But the exit is blocked! We're stuck.'' Jackson cries out as he looks around aimlessly at the fire around them. Another explosion happens near them, Jackson and Hunnigan duck down a little as some tables fly across the room. 

        Chris sees the front door of the Asylum cracked down the middle with some fire already on it. He points to it and Jill sees it. 

''We're gonna barge through the front door at the same time! Everybody get ready!'' Jill shouts at them, they all nod their heads. Sebastian and Heather hold hands as they stand behind Jill and Chris. 

        As they are about to dash towards the door the floor in the front of them explodes sending everyone back, they then see a burnt hand reach out from the ceiling. Miles slowly pulls himself out of the fire, completely burnt and crisp. 

''You're not going anywhere. Not while I'm still here.'' Miles roars as he slams his fist down to the ground, startling Hunnigan. Miles looks at the group and sees both Ada and Heather back to normal. He roars even louder as he slams his fist down multiple times, the floor begins to crack and creak loudly. 

''This is the end for you Miles! You son of a bitch!'' Ada screams out as they all charge for him. Jill shoots the last few bullets into Miles' chest and neck, blood gushes out from his wounds. She tosses the gun into the fire. Heather sees a pipe hanging out from one of the holes in the floor and grabs it, she immediately feels the intense burn from the pipe. She holds in her cries as she swings the pipe and hits Miles multiple times in the face, Miles stumbles back a few steps. Sebastian takes out his electric baton and swings at Miles at the same time with Heather they both hit him on the side of the head, he cries out in pain as blood gushes out his ears. 

           Heather drops the pipe and looks down at her hands to see them burnt and steaming. Sebastian grabs Heather and moves out the way as Jackson and Nereyda leap from the Chris' shoulders and kick Miles in the face. As they both land they swiftly kick out both his legs from under him, he slams to the ground on his back. Ada leaps into the air and falls down on Miles' chest with her knee's, knocking the wind out of him. Miles' body nearly crashes through the floor.
