☬ Chapter Twenty-Nine: Creatures of the Dark ☬

       Cybil and Chris anticipate Miles' attack as he rushes toward's them. Miles leaps into the air, nearly touching the ceiling, and lands behind the two. Cybil jumps up avoiding Miles attempt to trip her. Chris reacts slow and trips. Miles quickly attempts to punch Cybil in the air, but she hits his palm up to dodge it. She kicks up, hitting him in the chin, his head jerks backwards. Miles stumbles back in a slight shock, he instantly begins to taste blood in his mouth. 

''Chris, you're too slow! Get you're head in the game! Jill will be fine!'' Cybil scorns him as he gets up off the ground. Chris nods his head. 

''I'm sorry. I'll concentrate.'' Chris says as he shakes his head to get Jill out of his head. Miles spits out some blood and smiles, showing his blood stained teeth. He smites Cybil in the ribs, she slams into the wall. Chris kicks Miles in the left knee, he falls down to his knees. Chris swings the knife and stabs Miles in the heart, Miles gasps in fear as he stumbles back with the knife still in his chest. Blood begins to trickle down his chest, staining his shirt. Chris and Cybil stand back as Miles begins gasping for air. 

        Miles immediately bursts into a fit of laughter as he stands up straight, he slowly pulls out the knife. Blood squirts out over the floor from his chest. He tosses the knife back into Chris' hands. 

''How did you not die? That should of killed you for sure.''' Chris anxiously ask's as he places the knife into it's holster.

''I'm not like the other Walriders, I was personally chosen by it. The others are only parts that I've freely given. You can't kill me by shooting out my brains or a knife to the heart like some fucking vampire! I'm immortal! You can't kill me! I won't die! The only ones that'l be dead by dawn will be you and you're fucking friends! It's the end for you all!!'' Miles screams his lungs at them as he slams his fist to the wall, cracking it. Miles sniffles then composes himself before moving strains of hair away from his face. 

       Chris and Cybil gulp loudly as they anxiously await his next attack. 

''You two really don't know what you got yourselves into when you decided to fight me.'' 

       Jill groans as he helps Jill to the sliding door's leading out of the Lab. He gasps as he looks back at Pyro. ''Jill, I need to go back! This is my chance to download the files onto my hard drive! I'll be right back!'' Bug says as he lets go of Jill, he slowly helps her to the wall so she can balance herself. 

''Bug, please be careful. If anything starts to happen, come here immediately. Don't be a hero.'''Jill pleads to him, Bug smiles as he nods his head. Bug walks away from her and heads towards Pyro with the hard drive in hand. He walks around the Twin and Doctor. He stops a few feet from Carla, who's still laying on the ground unconscious. He slowly makes his way around her, Bug stands in front of Pyro and plugs in the hard drive. He glances back every so often to check on Carla. After a few times he stares straight ahead without looking back, concentrating on Pyro. 

        After a few minutes he successfully downloads all of the files onto the drive while doing other's things. As he unplugs the drive he hears Carla groaning in pain. Bug looks back to see Carla slowly waking up, he quickly makes his way around her again. As he's close to reaching Jill, he hears something click behind him. He immediately stops and turns around to see Carla still laying on the ground with a gun pointed at him. Bug gasp's as he puts his hands up in defence. 

''Hand over the hard drive and I won't shoot you.'' Carla calmly says as she attempts to stand up. As she shakily stands up she uses Pyro for support. Bug gulps loudly as he takes a few steps back, Carla shoots near his feet, startling him. Jill hear's the shot fire, she looks in the direction of the Lab and immediately begins to trudge towards the noise. She pulls out her handgun and passes the sliding door.
