The Nightmare

☬ Chapter Twenty-Five: Lifeless Soul ☬

Jill and Nereyda help Hunnigan up off the ground, she groggily stands up. Nereyda helps her by wiping away some of blood from her forehead, Sebastian stands in front of them examining the two woman standing still.

Hunnigan walks away from Jill and Nereyda and heads to Bug to help him, she walks around Ada and Heather. As she gets to Bug she sticks out a hand for him to take, he graciously accepts it and stand's.

"Thank you so much for trying to save me." Hunnigan softly says to him, Bug's head drop's, he shakes his head.

"You almost died." Bug simply says avoiding eye contact with her, Hunnigan scoffs and give's Bug a tight hug. Jackson walks down the steps and stands by Hunnigan and Bug as they let go of each other.

"What the hell's wrong with them?" Jill anxiously ask's as she tries to take a step close to Ada. Hunnigan raises her hand, signaling Jill to not move any closer to them, Jill stops and moves back.

Bug pulls out his phone and sees it slightly cracked, he see's a video downloading, "Well I'll tell you guys what we have so far." Bug walks toward's them while putting away the phone and begins to explain to them everything on the Walrider. Hunnigan and Jackson begin to search up for information on the Walrider. She begins to search the Asylum's server and databases. After a few minutes they both see some new information.

"Bug there's some new information that's been posted about the Walrider. It was updated while all this was going on." Hunnigan points out as she begins to read the new info to herself. Bug turns around frowning in confusion.

"What does it say?" Bug curiously ask's as he crosses his arms.

Hunnigan focuses her chipped glasses and begins to read aloud, "Only two surviving subject's are alive after nearly being controlled by the Walrider, Cybil Bennet and Chris Redfield. Though they weren't able to be successfully controlled, we were able to use these two as bait and myself for the other's. Once we were able to capture Heather and Ada, it wouldn't of been long before the others to come and rescue them all. After doing extensive research on the Walrider, I've come to be able to create the perfect clone of anyone, only much more powerful and stronger. Which is how the Variant's were all created again. The only known way of riding the Walrider from a host is by combining the T-" Hunnigan immediately cuts herself off when her screen goes black. She frowns in confusion as she tries to click on her phone a few times.

"Something's wrong, my phone turned off! No!" Hunnigan shouts as she begins to furiously presses buttons on the phone, Jackson grabs her hand to stop her. Miles and Hunnigan let out a sigh of relief at the same time, he leans back against the wall smirking.

Bug hears his phone ring in his pocket, he pulls out his phone to see the words 'Download Complete' across the screen. "Guys, gather around I found the missing video that used to be apart of this video! I downloaded it to my phone" Bug clicks on the video and puts it on full screen. Everyone gather's around him, Miles frown's confusion. He looks around the block after he hears a woman chuckle.

The video shows Miles, bloody and wounded, limping toward's an exit door. As the door slides open, Dr. Wernicke and several soldiers are there waiting for him. Dr. Wernicke nods his head and the soldiers immediately open fire on Miles, everyone gathered around the room gasp in shock. They see Miles drop to the ground, but they see the fear in Dr. Wernicke's eyes when Miles stand up, a now ghostly figure. He suddenly attacks the assailants and kills them all, slathering their blood along the walls and floor. Miles begins to slaughter all of the soldiers in the Asylum as a Walrider.

The video end's and everyone turns around to see Miles standing next to Ada, Heather and the Masked Woman.

"Miles? What are you doing?" Nereyda ask's when she glances between Miles and The Masked Woman. Miles slightly smirks as he shakes his head, "You should never of let me in you're home that day." Miles begin's to turn a clear color, almost invisible, along with Heather and Ada.
