I couldn't help but keep thinking about Phin, as much as I denied it I was in love with him. But how can one be in love with two people at the same time? This was strange maybe it wasn't love, I arrived home before seven, mother wanted the details, I was used yo sharing with her almost everything except the intimate details, but my latest situation was different how would I have told her that I was in love with two people, would she even understand me???.
I kept battling the urge to tell my mother what was happening with me, days passed on quicker than I thought and I was back to Lakeview.
That evening I went to my room packed my bags and dusted it, after a month of being away the room needed some cleaning, I did it and within a few hours I was done,
I walked to the resorts kitchen, took so e warm water, it was already seven at night, the curfew had been extended to nine so we were expected to close at eight which never happened, we would always close by nine or minutes after nine, this happens when the people in the government owns a place no one dares to cross them.
I sat outside the kitchen and that was when I saw him walking in, I couldn't help but smile, I felt my heart skip a bit, I really missed him,
"Woow you came"- Phil said
"Hi to you too Phil." I joked.
"You look prettier, looks like mum really did some work to you or do Lakeview people bully you?" He asked smiling
He stood a few mitres away from me, he looked allowed then in almost a whisper asked "Am I allowed to hug you?"
I wanted to jump and rest in his arms let my head lay on his chest as I listened to his heart beat, but this was Lakeview I was an employee and he was our customer, Hugging him would be a mistake, a misbehave which would have consequences, I was always a trouble maker but any trouble that involved my salary was a no go zone. I looked at him and smiled, "You don't know how much I want to do that, but choices have consequences, and the consequences for that are unbearable for me." I said.
"But I want to hug you no one is watching." He said as he scanned around with his eyes, Beth was inside the kitchen, I was sure she heard what we were talking about, but the Manager was in the Cafeteria with a few other people, without any second thought I stood up ready for him, he walked closer to me occupying the distance between us, and I was in his arms, "I really missed you." He whispered to my ear as he let me go. The hug was magical, if we were not in Lakeview we would have stayed for longer or even went further, But this was Lakeview and the big boss Mr. CCTV was right above our heads.
"Kindly serve me my usual" he said walking past me to the cafeteria, pretending like nothing had happened.
In Lakeview it didn't matter if it was your offday or not, whenever a customer requested for your service you had to do it. I stood up went to the kitchen and placed my warm water on the table and started to prepare Phil's order.
Phin knew that I would be arriving on that day he had offered to pick me up from the stage but I turned down his request not because I didn't want to be seen with him, but I didn't want to interfere with his work. I smiled at the thought of how this two humans made me feel. "I have a thing for guys whose names starts with P." I said to myself.
My first boyfriend's name was Paul, I then briefly dated a certain Patrick and here I was with a Phin and a Phil not forgetting that my sir name is Peterson.
I took Phil's order to the table he sat on, and welcomed him.
"Please prepare two more cups of this or make them three no make them four, yours included," he said.
"Ooh look the princess is back on duty, don't tell me that you missed Lakeview this much, you didn't even take a few minutes to rest, anyway welcome back miss." The manager said she sat with some other customers they were our regulars. I thanked them and walked out to head back to the kitchen but was met with a smile that I longed to see.
"Hello Miss Peterson or should I call you Mrs Phin?" He said almost in a whisper enough for me to hear and the person who stood beside him.
"Hi Melvin, I will pretend that I didn't see the person next to you, for he is messing with my mind" I spoke addressing Phin's best friend Melvin. They had been friends since they were children and they were also neighbors. Without any more word I went past them straight to the kitchen, Beth followed them to take their orders.
