Mai finished setting up the shelves just as Naru finished bringing up all the needed equipment. Mai then helped Naru put the monitors on the shelves she had built WITHOUT talking! Mai was almost bored out of her mind and an hour felt like forever! She couldn't play any music, Naru forbid her to speak and wouldn't even answer her not listen to her!

Mai lazily stared at their finished work and she didn't feel any accomplishment on it. She was still bored and she need something that can entertain her! She look around while sitting on top of a table and saw Naru taking out something out of a box. It was as if a pair of fox ears appeared on top of her head as she snickered while her brain is forming something mischievous.

"Naru, what's that thing?" She asked while stopping herself from smirking and look as naïve as she wants.

"It's a tape recorder. But this one is a bit special. It can record 24 hours. It is what we plug the microphone into."

"What for?"

"I hate explaining to amateurs." Mai noticed that Naru is beginning to get annoyed but she still pushed her luck and smiled brightly.

"But you hired me, boss. So take responsibility to explain it to me. I don't mind breaking more of your equipment because my ignorance, you know?" She answered, beaming brightly at her temporary boss but Naru knew that her smile is not so good and mean a bad omen.

"It is to record the sound of a ghost or something unusual. All day today, I have put the mics outside the first floor to record sounds as a test.

"Are you staying here tonight?"

"No. If there are really ghost here, I need to determine how powerful it is before taking action."

"Oh.. So you are the type of person who look before he leaps." Mai muttered as she look around her once more.

"What?"

"Nothing! I said you're very cautious."

"Well, of course. If I am not cautious, if I underestimated in this kind of industry, you might never return."

"True. By the way, Naru, what's this?" Mai asked pointing at the camera lying beside her left foot. She jumped off the table and look closer at it.

"I don't want to talk anymore." Naru said, making Mai whine but this kind of obstacle is easy for the young brunette.

"Oh.. Okay. Like I said earlier, it would not be my fault if I damage any of your equipment because of my ignorance. You wouldn't mind if I rest my feet on this right? I can't believe how fancy it was for a footstool." Mai playfully respond as she raised her knee-length skirt slightly and her left foot. She made sure Naru is looking her way as she gently tap the camera with her shoe.

"Oopssie." Mai said, not looking so apologetic as Naru used all his strength to glare at her. Mai widened her smile and raise her foot again, not looking a bit scared at her boss' scary darkened face.

"It is an infrared camera." Naru answered a second before her shoe met the camera. His tone is not friendly and his face is hard to look at but Mai rejoice at his demise.

Naru, albeit irritated, explain all its function and answer all of Mai's question. His thought was dry but he still continue explaining things to the smiling brunette. He was worried that Mai might do something and he shivers every time the girl smile at him. It was like she was planning something so evil!
