I've never been morning person. Never. I didn't see what made you happy about waking up early, when instead you could stay in your comfortable, warm bed.
We were heading for Detroit today since yesterday we finished the interviews and the photo shoot. We were given a bus for the next week so we could go to Detroit. All the boys were up in their bunks watching something, while I was out on the couch looking out the window. I put my Ipod in, and put it on shuffle. The first song was Bel Air by Lana Del Rey. I smiled, as I haven't heard this song in so long. She had such a unique voice.
I had my elbow leaning on the top of the couch, resting my head on it, trying not to fall asleep. We didn't quite go to bed early last night at all, and then we were forced to get up at 5 so we could make it to Detroit at a decent hour. They figured we'd be there around 6 or 7 in the evening, so we would be driving all day. I didn't quite know what to expect about being on a bus with 5 other crazy guys but I guess I was going to find out.
I could feel my eyes drooping, and I didn't wanna fall asleep here if I was going to. I got up from the couch, and walked over to my bunk. It was on the very top so I climbed the ladder that was carved into the wall to the side of all the bunks.
I plopped into my thin bunk, and pulled the curtain all the way so no light was able to creep in, and let myself fall into a deep sleep.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Harry! Give it back!"
"Not until you give me mine first!"
"You guys are acting like children!"
"He started it!"
I groaned and rubbed my face. I wasn't really wanting to wake up to yelling and the sound of feet thumping around running everywhere. I figured if no one else was going to stop it, I will.
I slid my curtain open, and just jumped from my bunk. I think that I made a loud enough noise for the boys to stop and look at me. I walked over to Niall and held out my hand. He rolled his eyes and placed Harry's phone in it. I then walked over the Harry and did the same thing, but he handed me Niall's phone. I gave them back their own phones and just walked away. I looked at the clock on the wall, and it was only 12. We had another 6 or 7 hours to go. I groaned and dumped myself on the couch and covered my face with a pillow.
I lifted it off slightly just so I could talk.
"Liam?"
"Ya?"
"Have you guys eaten lunch yet?"
"No, we're going to stop somewhere real quick."
"Where?"
"I don't know. We'll see."
I wasn't very hungry, so I didn't really want to stop anywhere. I just wanted to keep driving. The less we stop, the faster we can get there.
I got off the couch and walked over to the fridge, pulling out a gallon of milk, and then walked over to the pantry to grab out some cereal.
Liam gave me a funny look.
"What are you doing?"
"This is my lunch." I took out a bowl and spoon, and sat across from Liam.
"Cereal?"
"Ya. What else would I have?"
"You could just wait until we stop."
I shook my head. "Nah, I'd rather just have cereal."
This was my excuse for not having to eat anything when we stopped. since we were probably gonna stop at a fast food joint, and I was not going to eat that. I haven't had fast food in so long, and I'm going to start up again now.
As expected we did end up at McDonald's. It smelt so tempting, but I had to resist.
"Nope. Nope. You shouldn't. You can't. Think of your thighs, think of your thighs." I thought to myself.
I just sat back and watched as the boys opened every box in the middle of the table, and dumped out every fry into the middle. They were just sharing everything.
I wasn't going to let the temptation get to me, so I just went over to my bunk. I flipped down the little screen, and it had a touch screen. I went to Netflix, and searched and searched for the perfect movie, and i ended up picking Mean Girls. What a classic. I knew about every single line in this movie, as it was one of my favorites.
I cuddled up in my blanket, and lifted my pillow up a little so I was almost sitting up. My eyes were glued to the screen for probably a half hour, until my curtain was flung open.
I hit the pause button, and squinted my eyes due to the sudden light. After getting used to it, I was able to figure out who it was.
"Oh my God Harry, what do you want?"
"I just wanted to know what you were doing."
"And you couldn't just ask outside the curtain?"
"Nope."
I just stared at him with a glare.
"I'm watching Mean Girls, now shut the curtain."
He laughed a little. "Alright."
"Dork." I said under my breath.
I pressed play, but was interrupted by Harry again.
"What now?"
"We're bored!"
"What am I supposed to do about that?"
He just stood there. I don't quite think he planned this out before he came to ask. Being the goofy kid that he is, he just shut the curtain and left.
I quickly opened it and stuck my head out.
"Wait!"
He turned around. "What?"
"How long until we get to Detroit?"
He shrugged. "I don't know. About 5 hours or so."
"Okay, thanks."
He nodded and then turned back and kept walking.
I sighed and continued to watch. Only 5 more hours. That's it! I can do that. Only 5 more hours until I can finally figure out the truth of what's going on with my parents.
I just hoped this plan would work.
