*Colena's POV*

I woke up to the sound of silence. I looked over at the clock, which read 05:58. I guess my body was so used to getting up early for school, and since I was now awake, there was no going back to sleep now.

I sighed, rolled over, and winced a little at the pain on my hand from the IV that was in it yesterday. I was still in my clothes from yesterday, so I changed into my sweatpants and sweatshirt. I really needed to go shopping now that I was officially here, with a place to stay. I slowly opened my door and looked to my right and then my left. There was no sign of anyone being awake, so I quietly stepped out of my room, closing my door behind me.

I tiptoed over to the railing that was just across from my door, and walked down the stairs so quietly, it was as if I was a feather. Thank goodness the stairs were carpet. Once I got downstairs, I walked normally over to the kitchen, and put some hot water on the stove. I grabbed a tea bag off of the counter, and set it in my cup with a spoon.

I walked over to the patio door which lead outside and just watched as I could see the sun start to come up. It was the Fall season so the sun was rising later in the morning. I watched the bright red and orange colors start coming over the trees, and meet my eyes. I quickly run up the stairs, but then tiptoe to my room, I dig through my bag and find my camera. I quickly run backstairs, but this time I go outside. I wanted to get on the roof. Yes, it sounds crazy but it's something I would always do back in Detroit.

I walk around the house to find a perfect spot that would be easy to climb. They had a bench the side of the house where the first story roof was sticking out. I stood on the bench, with my camera slung over my shoulder. I reached up, grabbing the gutter, and then reaching past it. I pushed off the bench so I was hanging. Thank goodness I would work out my arms for self defense, and I was able to pull myself up, and swung my legs to my side, also giving me a boost. I gained my balance, but I still wanted to get onto the second story roof.

I walked over to the side where there was a window. I now had to be quiet not to wake up whoever was in the room through the window. I did exactly what I did to get onto the first floor, but without the bench part. I swung my legs over too much, and I landed on the top, on my back with a thud. Shit.

I just laid there for a second before getting up. It's a good thing I was barefoot and not wearing any shoes. I tip toe to the very tippy top of the roof and stand with my camera in my hands. I adjust the shutter speed, and lift it up to just the right spot. click. click. click. Perfect. Just as I'm about to take another picture, I'm interrupted. I woke him up. I look down to see Niall on the first story roof staring at me, until he spoke up.

"What in the hell are you doing?"

I just look back at him, and little shocked. He hadn't spoken to me since we were in the hospital yesterday. Without answering, I start walking down the side of the house opposite to where I climbed up. I jumped down to the first roof, and then jumped off that to the ground. I was so used to climbing, I knew my knees and feet could handle it. I walked in through the back door, and then into the kitchen, to find that was water was done. I took it off the stove and poured it into my cup, with the tea bag and sugar. Just then, I hear someone come walking down the stairs, and onto the wood floor of the kitchen. I expected it to be Niall, and it was. His Irish accent rung through my ears.

"Why the fuck were you just on the roof?"

Someone has quite the colorful vocabulary. I kept my eyes on my tea as I stirred it.

"I was taking pictures of the sun. What else would you think?"

"You couldn't get pictures of it from the ground?"
