I don't even know what time we got back to the house last night. Everyone was tired and we all slept on the ride over. All I can remember was all of us helping each other into the house and we were all dragging our bodies in.

I rolled over in my bed to look over at the clock on my dresser. 12:57. Sheesh.

I convinced myself that maybe I should get out my bed, just to see if anyone else was up. I quietly tiptoed over to my closed door, opening it, making sure it doesn't creak.

I got out into the hallway and there was only one door open, Louis'. I was kind of sad that Niall wasn't but he probably needed the sleep more than I did. He didn't seem to like the effects of traveling.

I walked down the steps, counting each one. I'm not sure why, but I like to know how many steps there are. Like back in Detroit, I still remember that in Roger and Carmen's house, there were 13 steps. It's just a habit of mine. I bet after a week I will know every little detail about this house that no one else would really pay attention to.

I got to the bottom after all 17, and walked into the kitchen, to find Louis with his back to me, looking out the window, with a cup of tea in his right hand and his left elbow resting on the counter.

He didn't seem to hear me walk in, causing me to startle him when I said "Good morning Lou."

He jumped a little, turning his head over in my direction.

"Good morning love. There's some hot water over there if you want some tea." He pointed over on the island when the pot was still steaming.

"Don't mind if I do."

I grabbed out a tea bag and a spoon with some sugar, pouring it into a pale blue mug.

I walked over to the table where Louis was sitting, joining him looking out the window.

He didn't turn his head to look at me, but he wanted a conversation and got right to the point.

"So what's up with you and Niall?"

I took a sip of tea, already knowing where this was going to go.

"What do you mean?"

"Oh, hun. Don't play dumb with me."

"Just ask me what you want to know."

He hesitated for a minute, and then turned to meet eye contact.

"Are you two official or...?"

I smiled at his cheekiness. "I guess you could say that."

I could tell he was excited just by his reaction. His eyes seemed to be full with joy and he turned completely in his seat to face me.

"Since when?!"

"Not long. About two days."

"And you didn't tell me?!"
