*Niall's POV*

After I calmed down, I walked over to the mirror. I looked like a mess. My hair was all ruffled up and everywhere and I was so tired. After wiping some water on my face and trying to wake myself up, I left the bathroom. The boys were still in the waiting room. I just slowly walked into the silence.

"She's okay right?"

They must not have noticed me walk in, due to their shock and heads popping up to greet mine. After a little silence Liam finally answered.

"Yeah, they just won't let anyone see her. She needs her rest and the doctor said they're going to start chemotherapy on her as soon as possible."

I just nodded. What else was I supposed to say? So much has happened in the last 24 hours, it was almost unrealistic. Never ever would I ever imagine a situation like this playing out in my life, but I guess now that it happened, I have to accept it's my new reality.

I walked over to a chair next to the boys, and sat down. I rested my head in my hands, with my elbows resting on my thighs. I rubbed my face, trying to make it not so obvious how tired I was. It's hard to think that just this morning, she was standing on the roof taking pictures of the sunrise, and now, just a few hours later, she's laying in a hospital bed, going to get chemotherapy treatment any time soon.

I could hear footsteps coming down the hall to my right. I looked over to find the doctor who gave the diagnosis, walking down to meet us. He just got right to the point.

"I have good news and bad news, but it's nothing too serious. The bad news, Colena's body is so weak. It was easy for the cancer to spread due to her low immune system. The good news, she will be strong enough to get through chemotherapy. This process will cause some big side effects, that include tiredness, lack of appetite, some minor memory changes, and sometimes nausea. She will be able to return after the treatment, but will need to rest for a couple days until the effects wear off. Two weeks after today, we will bring her back in, and see if the treatment is causing any effect."

I couldn't make eye contact with anyone anymore, and I don't think the boys could either. We were all so confused. Once I knew the doctor had left I looked up from the floor. As expected, they also were looking down.

"What are we going to do?" I asked.

They all looked up, but Harry was the only one to speak.

"We're going to go along with it. We decided she was going to live with us, and that's what she's going to do. We're going to take care of her, no matter what the media says or the fans, or anyone else."

I just looked at him, and at the other boys. They just nodded. Sure, it was a huge thing to have to do, but she was our friend, and we're going to do what friends are for.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After we got news that Colena could go home anytime, we drove to the hospital, even though it was about 3 in the morning.

When we got to her room, we found her standing up ready to go, wearing a black beanie that had blue dots on it. She was wearing her skinny jeans, and her sweatshirt. She didn't say much, besides that she really wanted to go home and sleep, and she gave us all with a hug.

Once we got back in the van, Louis was driving with Liam in the passenger seat, and her and I were in the back. She pulled her legs up to her chest, so she looked even smaller than usual. She leaned over and rested her head on the window. She closed her eyes, attempted to try and sleep, but I could tell she wasn't comfortable, even if she didn't show it. I reached over and grabbed her arm and pulled her over toward me. I whispered in her ear, "Here", and wrapped my arm around her. She still had her legs pulled up, with her arms around them, but she rested her head on my chest. Once I knew she was much more comfortable, I rested my cheek on her head, and felt myself drift off into sleep.

*Colena's POV*

I couldn't remember all that had happened earlier today after I had started treatment. All I knew at the moment was that the boys were on their way to take me home. I was so ready to sleep in my own bed, instead of the hospital one. Plus, I knew the side effects were going to kick in at any moment, considering I was already tired as hell.

I put on my favorite jeans, that were black and skinny, and my sweatshirt. The hospital had given me a beanie, that was so cute. It was black with blue polka dots. It felt really warm considering my long hair was now gone.  I heard the boys come in and I immediately walked over and gave them all a hug. I don't think they know how much this means to  me.

Once we got to the van, I saw in the back with Niall. The van was freezing so I pulled my legs up to my chest and rested my head on the window. I was so exhausted, but this position wasn't working. I felt someone's hand grab my left arm, and I looked to see Niall pulling me towards him. He whispered "here" in my ear, which gave me goosebumps from his warm breath. He put his arm around me and I kept my legs pulled up. I wrapped my arms around them and rested my head on Niall's chest. It felt good to feel someone's comfort when you needed it the most. Just before I could let myself fall into a trance called sleep, I felt Niall rest his head on mine, which left me with a smile on my face.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up to a bright light showing through my eyelids. I didn't want to open my eyes. I wanted to go back to sleep. I kept my eyes closed in hope of falling back into my dream, which I can't remember what it was about.

"Should we wake her up?"

"No, leave her."

"So what, you're gonna stay here all night with her leaning on you, Niall?"

Great. I was still 'sleeping' on Niall's chest. I didn't want to all of a sudden open my eyes, since it would make it awkward.

"I'll just bring her in."

Bring me in? What? Before I could think of anything else, I felt a pair of arms pull me up and out of the van. I figured it was Niall, and he carried me bridal style to the house. They cold fall breeze made me shiver and I could feel goosebumps rising on my skin.

As we got closer to the house, I could feel myself getting even more tired. I could now feel the warmth of the house, and I could feel us going up the stairs. I figured we were in my room when I heard a light flick on. The weird part of it, was that I was half awake and half asleep so I couldn't exactly tell what was even going on and if it was real or just a dream. I felt my bed beneath me, and blankets being pulled over my shoulders. It felt so good to be in my warm bed. I let out a little "thank you" before falling asleep, unsure if Niall had even heard it, but one thing's for sure : that boy is strong.
