Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much for all the love and support on this book recently. I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to writing and I know for a fact my grammar and spelling could be better (damn you dyslexia!) but I'm trying. So again, thank you for standing by me ❤️

MIKAH POV

I stepped out the car and made my way towards Eleri's house where I knew she and her parents would be waiting for me.

For whatever reason I felt nervous, more nervous then I've ever felt before but why? Was it because tonight is the night we officially become mates or is it something completely mundane like the fact I'm picking her up and her father will be there to most likely give me 'the talk'

I was half expecting it when I asked for their blessing to take their daughter to the dance and have her stay at mine for the first time (that they knew of) I felt like I was asking for her hand in marriage which honestly isn't far off the truth.

I wondered if Eleri still wanted to go ahead with tonight. Obviously If she didn't I would completely understand but it feels right, for the both of us I know it does. Of course I still have worries deep down about what it will mean for a human to not only be the mate of a werewolf but a Luna at that.

As I approached the front door I pushed all the thoughts running through my mind away and smiled at the sound of her mum begging to take just one more picture while Eleri whined.

I knocked on the door and heard a lot of movement till finally Eleri's dad answered.

"Mikah, you look strapping my boy!" He said with a big smile on his face. "Please come in!"

"Thank you" I said stepping in expecting to see Eleri but instead I was greeted with an empty entryway.

"The girls will be just a moment" Mr Winter said as he poured himself a glass of whisky from the bar cart.

"So Mikah," he started.

Here we go!

"You will take care of my daughter won't you" he said sipping his whisky.

"Of course sir!" I said quickly.

"Good because I wouldn't want my little girl getting hurt." He said making his way over to be and placing a hand in my shoulder. "I trust you and I know you'll be a gentleman and respect her wishes."

"Of course Mr Winter, you have my word" I had to hold back the biggest smirk as I thought to his 'little girl' begging me to not be a gentleman, in fact far from it.

I was quickly pulled from thought when I saw Eleri walking down the stairs. She looked incredible. She was wearing a red silky dress that hugged her figure in all the right places.

Eleri blushed as she approached me and I quickly closed my mouth picking it up off the floor. I was half tempted to take her to mine now and forget about the dance but I wanted tonight to be perfect.

"You look beautiful Ell," I said as I took her hand. Looking her up and down once more.

"Thank you," she blushed once more "you look handsome," She said.

"He does indeed" Eleri's mum said as she made her way down the stairs camera in hand. "Now smile you two!"

After what felt like hours of Eleri's mum talking pictures of us we finally made our way out the house and towards my car with them cheering "goodbye" behind us of course.

I held the door open for her and she slid inside. As I rounded the car I couldn't help but smile, thinking of how far we've come from our first encounter in the woods.
