Part 24 - Friends

Mikah PoV.

As me and Eleri stepped out the car we already had eyes on us and I knew Eleri was feeling nervous.

Everyone thought I was strange but they also found me intriguing and I know a lot of the girls had the hots for me. By the way they giggled and blushed around me and whispered as they walked past me. I used to play on it flashing them smiles and winking at them.

I always got invited to parties which I didn't mind but I'd constantly tried not to draw attention to myself but as soon as I became Alpha something changed, suddenly I was the only things they could talk about and girls threw themselves at me which at first I used to like and have fun with it but then I got older and realised I need to take things seriously.

As we walked through the double doors suddenly everyone was looking at us and I couldn't help but smile. Eleri walked close next to me with her arms folded and her eyes darting around trying to look anywhere but at the people looking at us. I could hear heart pounding like it was going to burst out of her chest.

I couldn't help but have the biggest cheesy gin. Watching everyone I draped my leather jacket covered arm over Eleri's shoulder, she instantly shot me a look that say 'what the hell are you doing' I could practically hear her screaming at me.

We pass Gabriel and he looked pissed which only made my smile wider. He knew about us which made it more fun when he saw us. I almost wanted to put my middle finger up at him but I didn't Eleri would have probably killed me for drawing even more attention to the situation especially after everything that happened at the party.

As we got to Eleri's locker where she kept all her art stuff i leant against the locker next to it with my arms crossed against my chest and watched her.

I don't know how to explain it but I'm proud to been seen with Eleri, I wish everyone could know that we were together, to take her in my arms and kiss her, Telling everyone she's mine but one step at a time.

"Hey there Mikah." Cat said as she approached Eleri and I.

"Hey Catrin." I looked a Catrin and I could see this look of confusion and maybe jealousy?

"So, uh what are you guys doing?" She said looking between us with her eyebrows knitted together.

"The same as you, here to learn." I knew what she meant but I knew she wouldn't ask straight out right.

"Right, well of course." She said with a nervous laugh. "Ell we should get going to class."

"Sure, see you later Mikah." Eleri said smiling at me shyly as she walked off with Cat.

I knew she'd get bombarded with questions as soon as they were out of ear shot. As I stood watching them walk away I felt someone watching me and looked to my right and saw a girl making it obvious to look at me. Normally girls tried to hide the fact they were looking at me but not this one and I'd never seen her around before.

She started to walk towards me and I stood from leaning on the locker.

"Hi, it's Mikah right?"

"Uh, yeah that's me and you are?" I said knitted me eyebrows together. How does she know me?

"My names Sage. I've already met your girlfriend." She said looking in the direction that Eleri and Cat has gone.

I chocked on my own spit as she said girlfriend out loud.

"She- she isn't my girlfriend we're just friends and we're working on a project together."

"Sure.." Sage said looking at me knowingly.
