ELERI POV:
I knew I shouldn't have left without saying goodbye but I also knew that if anyone saw me leaving his tent this morning more rumors would start going around and I didn't want that. So I got up before everyone else and snuck into my tent and grabbed my stuff and headed to the shower and by the time I came back thankfully, Lukass had gone back to his tent. Cat didn't ask where I slept or how I was, why would she? Instead, we went straight to get some food.
I wondered if Mikah would continue to talk to me after last night or if he would go about like normal and act like he didn't know me. Deep down I think I knew the answer but I didn't hurt any less when as I was headed to a table with food in hand I noticed Mikah in the line. As we walked past I shot him a quick smile but he gave nothing in return. It was like he looked through me.
My heart sank slightly but what was expecting this was Mikah Evans. The dark and handsome guy that looked dangerous and kept to myself. And he'd never been seen with any girls so why would it have been different? I was kidding myself.
Later on in the day when the sun was setting, we were getting ready at our tent because the whole camp was getting together and having a party around the fire. I couldn't wait to get a couple of drinks down me and forget about last night.
I looked in my little compact mirror applying red lipstick and trying to tame my wild auburn hair unsuccessfully that is. I wore a tight-fitting dark green dress that complimented my hair and flat black ankle boots. No way was I wearing heels in the woods. I popped in some little gold hoops and I was ready to go. Lukass and his friend Jackson both met us outside our tent and the 4 of us made our way to the campfire.
Lukass and Jackson went off to get Cat and I some drinks. I looked around at all the people. Deep down I knew who I was looking for, Mikah.
"Hey you okay?" said Cat looking at me confused. "Yeah sorry," I said realising she'd been talking to me this whole time. "What's up?"
"Jackson, he's cute right?" she said, giving me a mischievous look. Yes, he was cute, really cute in fact with his short shaggy blonde hair and tanned skin. But he was nowhere near as good looking at Mikah. "Yeah, he is," I said, blushing slightly. "Lukass told me that he thinks you're hot," Cat said to me, coming closer to whisper in my ear. "I think you should go for it."
I kept thinking about what Cat had said, and after a few drinks, I was dancing away with Jackson, my hips swaying with his hand on them. I looked over at Cat and Lukass and they were dry humping in front of everyone. But it wasn't just them a lot of people were. As if to pull me out of my thoughts Jackson pulled me closer so we were almost touching. "Let's go for a walk" he whispered into my ear and grabbed my hand and started to talk towards the woods.
I had Butterflies in my stomach as I followed him. We were in the woods now and he spun me around so that my back was against a tree. He looked deep into my eyes and I felt my cheeks burning up. He placed a hand on my waist and kissed me on my mouth, I pulled away, and looked at him. I bit my lip and put my hands around the back of his neck pulling him in to kiss me again, this time i didn't pull away. He kissed me hard and deep and it felt amazing, I could feel the heat rushing through my body.
I was pinned to the tree now by his body against mine. Exploring every inch of each other's mouths. I felt Jackson's hand go up to my dress along my thigh and pushed in down when I was getting too high for my liking without breaking the kiss we continued and he did it again. He put both my wrists in one hand and pinned them to the tree above my head.
"STOP!" I said breathlessly. Jackson put his mouth against mine once more and his hand was exploring my body. I tried to pull away "stop I don't want this," I said starting to panic. I was starting to feel dizzy and tearing welling up in my eyes. I closed them.
"Did you not hear her?" this familiar voice said. "SHE SAID FUCKING STOP!"
I suddenly felt Jackson weight off me and I could breathe. I open my eyes to see Mikah punching Jackson in the face and Jackson falling to the floor. I quickly moved to Mikah's side and placed a hand on his chest that was rising quickly with rage.
"Mikah stop, that's enough," I said softly, trying to get him to calm down. I looked into his amazing yellow eyes and saw rage and hurt. "Please, I'm okay now."
he looked down at me and his expression changed from angry to worry. Everything was spinning and I started to feel dizzy.
"Eleri are you okay?" Mikah said, placing a hand on my cheek. Then everything went dark and I felt myself falling. "ELERI!"
MIKAH POV:
At the party, I had a weird gut feeling, and then when I saw Eleri dancing with that Jackson guy my whole body tensed. The way they danced and he had his hands all over her I wanted to run over there and rip him away from her but this was a free world, Maybe she liked this guy. But I couldn't shift this feeling in my gut.
I had to stay away from her. I had no choice for her sake and mine but then I saw him lead her off to the woods. That gut feeling was stronger than ever and I had to follow them.
I stayed black and once I caught sight of them I could see them making out.
This is a bad idea what the hell am I doing here watching these two go at it.
"STOP!" I heard Eleri shout pulling me from my thoughts.
instantly saw red and marched over pulling Jackson off her and punching him in the face. I could have killed him but Eleri rushed over to me and the way she looked at me I knew I had to stop.
Suddenly Eleri fell back and I caught her before she hit the ground. I scooped her up carrying her in my arms and without anyone noticing us or drawing attention I carried her to my tent and laid her down inside. I looked down at her and brushed away the stray piece of hair on her forehead and dragged my thumb down her cheek and stroked it. That's when I felt it, this electricity shot through me.
Oh no.
