Part 32 - The dress.

Sorry it's been such a long time again guys! I have lot going on at the moment, I'm actually growing a human 😅 she's due in 3 months and we're so excited but hospital visits and stuff are taking over my life 🙈 happy new year btw!
I promise what's to come is so worth the wait 😛

A couple days went by and nothing special happened. Me and Mikah are out in the open now and have had many people mainly girl glare at us. Mikah kissed me in the canteen and I could feel all the daggers in my back but I didn't care, I was happy.

Aria, Sage and I planned to spend the whole day together starting with shopping for our dresses to wear to the dance!

"How do I look?" Sage said with the most amazing blue dress on that had a very deep V and Sage didn't have a little chest.

"Damn! Your smokin!" I said with a wink.

"I know!" Sage said turning to look at herself in the mirror again.

"You still haven't tried a dress on" Aria said in her squeaky moaning voice.

I looked around at the millions of different coloured dresses hung up.

"I know, I'm just feeling a bit overwhelm by everything that's all."

I wasn't talking about the dance. Tomorrow night is the dance and the night my life will change for ever and I'm so excited to finally be mates with Mikah but some part of me was scared because of the Hunter gene. What if it takes over and makes me want to kill my own mate?

"Is this about Mikah?" Aria said coming to sit next to me. " I know it's a lot to take in" Aria said looking at the woman at the counter who was starving a customer. " but you'll finally be mates and I've heard it's the best feeling in the world." She whispered

"No it's not that, I can't wait! I know in my gut this is right but what about my parents? I can't tell them."

"Oh, I guess I forgot about that part." She said looking at me sympathetically " but hey! They'll get to see you get married one day. It's kind of the same thing?"

"Aria it's totally the same thing" I said laughing "but can you imagine if I told them we were getting married. They'd freak!"

"I guess they would but not because it's you and Mikah but probably because it's all happening so fast but if they understood mating they'd get it."

"But they never will" i said looking down at my hands.

"You have the try on this one!" Sage said throwing a dress at me.

As I stood in the big mirror looking at myself I couldn't help but blush. I wonder what Mikah would think of me in this dress. It was a tight silk dress that skimmed over my hips perfectly, the back was open and scooped down to just above my bum. I'm not getting away with wearing a bra in this one that's for sure!

"Oh Eleri, you look amazing!" Aria squealed.

"Hot Damn" Sags said after Aria. "Mikah going to want to rip that off the moment he sees you!"

"Ah, stop!" I said turning so red it hurt. I hid my face and heard the bell from the shop door ring.

"We'll look who we have here."

I looked up to see Cat, Sage and Aria were already looking at her giving her evils.

"What do you want?" Aria said in a tone I'd never heard before.

"Oh please. Do you really think this is about you? She said as the lady working at the shop approached her with a dress. "Not everything about you Eleri" she walked to a changing room beside us. "Oh by the way" she said as she poked her head out from the door. "That dress makes you look fat."

She disappeared into the changing room and Aria had to hold back Sage from going after her.

I turned around to look into the large mirror. "Maybe she's right."

"Uh, no she is not!" Sage spluttered. "But maybe her does." She said with a wink and clicked her finger.

"Sage! What did you do!" Aria said looking worried.

A loud scream came from the changing room and Cat came storming out in a half on dress. She stomped up to the lady behind the counter "I had this tailored 2 days ago why doesn't it fit!"

"Sorry miss I'm not sure. Could you have put on a little weight since then?" The lady said looking slightly scared.

"WHAT!" She she screamed. "I have not! Make this dress fit!"

"Sorry mam that's impossible now that's it's been made. Made to measure is what it says"

Cat screamed again and ran back into the changing room.

As all three of us laughed.

"How were you friends with that bitch for so long?" Sage asked.

"I guess that's the thing with toxic friendships. You don't noticed"

"Well you've got us now." Aria said pulling all 3 of us into a hug.

We all laughed again.

"I'm so glad I do"

I was knackered when I got home after trying on dresses and shoes all day.

I walked through the front door dress in hand, struggling.

"Hello I'm home!" I shouted.

"Hello sweetheart!" Mum chimed walking to meet me. "Busy day?" Mum said taking the dress from me.

"Very" I said finally relaxing my shoulders.

Mum hung up the dress on the living room door. "Ell, come talk with me a moment." Mum giving me that soft but serious look.

We both sat down on the sofa and mum turned her knees in to face me.

"What's the matter mum? Is it dad? Is he okay!"

"Ell, calm down your father is fine." She said putting a hand on my knee. "I just want to have a little chat woman to woman."

"Oh." I said realising where this was going.

"Darling your 19 now and you have a boyfriend for the first time." She stopped adjusting in her seat. "This talk may be to late but you need to be safe and sure that it what you want."

"Mum what are you saying?" I questioned but knew full well what mum was getting at.

"Sex Eleri."

I sucked air into my lungs like it was the first time I was breathing, and the last. Was I really have this conversation now.

"Mikah has asked us if you may stay with him the night of the dance, he was a gentlemen and asked our permission to take to the dance but we're not silly. We were young too."

My face turned bright red. I wanted to be anywhere but here right now.

"I see" the only words I could make come out of my mouth.

"Have you and him discussed this?"

I let out a long sign realising I'd stopped breathing. "We have. And I'm sure about this"

My mum smiled at me lovingly. "Only if your sure, and you certainly seem that way."

"I am, I think I love him mum." I said before I could stopped the words coming out of my mouth.

"I know you do darling" mum pulled me in for a hug. "Just remember to be safe" I pulled away from mum remembering why we were having this conversation.

"Oh mum! I know. Please trust me"

"I do! I just would be your mum if I didn't say it."

"I know mum," I said hugged her again. "I love you."
