Part 20 - Marked.

Xander threw me across the room and I went into a mirror it breaking and bits of glass following as I fell to the ground.

"If you keep back chatting me we're going to have some serious problems." Xander said as he slowly made his way across the room to me.

I frantically looked around the room to see where I was and it was a room without windows then I saw a staircase leading up. Of course we must be in a basement. I noticed the glass surrounding me and slowing slid a piece into my hand behind my back.

"I won't be your Luna Xander." I said my voice still shaking. "This isn't the way to get back at your brother."

"Well of course it is. I want the thing he loves." He said looking at me, the thing Mikah loves.

"Mikah loves me?" I asked, but it wasn't really a question.

"But you don't?" Xander asked curiously.

"I-," I didn't know how to answer it had only been a couple of weeks after all but I couldn't deny the way I felt about Mikah and all the things he had done for me. I wanted to be with him and had made up my mind that I wanted loose my virginity to him. Is that love?

"I don't know." I said finally.

"You don't know?"

"I've never been in love. I don't know what it feels like."

Xander laughed. He actually laughed.

"How pathetic, He can't even get a girl to love him back. My poor brother." He said sarcastically.

"I didn't say I don't love him." I said defensively.

"But you've mated?" Xander asked.

"Well no not exactly. I haven't officially accepted him yet. However it is you do that."

Xander took at step towards me and lent down to hold my face in his grip.

"So your telling me that you and my brother haven't even had sex yet and he's already in love with you." Xander laughed again throwing his head back.

"What are you talking about!" I said starting to get angry.

"He really hasn't told you anything has he."

He stared at me but I didn't say a word.

"To accept a mate you have to officially mate as it were. But if you don't he becomes weak until his mate officially accepts him but if you reject him well he's basically dead." He said dropping my face and turning his back to me to walk away from me.

Without much thought I quickly stood up with the bit of glass in hand and stabbed it into the back of Xanders shoulder and made a run for it up the stairs.

"GET HER NOW!" Xander shouted and I could hear the wolves coming for me.

I ran and ran trying to find my way out of the house but it was huge and like a maze.

Suddenly a pack of wolves charged through the door and I feel back and screamed. But the wolves ran past we towards the wolves that were chasing after me and one wolf stopped by me, the wolf I knew so well, my wolf, Mikah.

I was so happy to see him I wanted to jump up and cuddle him but I knew now wasn't the time his wolf looked me over then ran past we to follow the others. I smaller wolf with the most beautiful brown coat and green eyes was slightly behind the rest and stopped next to me, I heard that cracking of bone and next thing I know Aria is stood in front of me. Naked.

"Are you okay?!" Aria said coming to my side and looking me over.

"I-I am now." I said with relief.

"Mikah gave me the task of looking after you. It's not over yet but we'll protect you."

"Thank you Aria." I said leaning up and hugging her I didn't care if she was naked I was just so happy to see her.

"Come on hurry." Aria stood up and grabbed my hand and led me to where the fighting was happening.

"Take this!" She said handing me a dagger then shifting.

Mikah had shifted to his human self now and was face to face with his brother.

"Dear brother how nice of you to drop by." Xander said with and sarcastic tone and smile.

"What the hell did you do to her?!" Mikah said pointing back at me. "You ever touch her again and I swear to god-,"

"What Mikah? What will you do? She's not even mated to you yet let alone your Luna."

Mikah looked taken aback by his brothers words but his face grew angrier and his eyes cold.

"She's mine now Mikah."

"She'll never be yours." Mikah spat.

"See for yourself. I marked her."

Shocked Mikah took a step back and turned his head around to look at me.

What was Xander talking about he hadn't marked me. Then I remembered him biting me and looked at my shoulder and I had a large bruised mark on it. My head quickly shot up looking Mikah in the eyes.

"Mikah he forced it upon me. Please believe me." I said as tears ran down my face.

Without say a word Mikah turned his head to look at his brother once more and within a second shifted and pounced on his brother.

Xander shifted next into a wolf almost identical to Mikah's and if I hadn't known Mikah's wolf so well it would be hard to tell them apart. Everyone else followed pouncing on the near by wolves and stood there not knowing what to do when I heard a snarl from behind me. I jumped out of the way as the wolf went to pounce on me and as it got back up I pointed to dagger at it.

"Please I don't want to hurt you." I said looking into the wolfs eyes but all I could see was anger and blood lust. It pounced again landing on me pinning me to the ground and with its teeth snapping at me I stabbed the dagger into the side of the wolf's neck and it let out a loud whimper.

The wolf's rolled off me whimpering in pain till it finally went still. This sudden vibration ran through my body causing me to fall to me knees. I let out a grown, My skin felt like it was burning on my left hand side and I looked to see what was going on. A small line like a scar had Appeared on my rib cage. I wondered if the wolf had scratched me but it seemed far to small.

Mikah appeared by my side and scooped me up into his arms. "Your safe now." He said carrying me out of the house towards the car.

I let myself relax into his arms, feeling his warmth and feeling safe.

Mikah carried me into the pack house and into the bathroom, he placed me in the bath and I lay their relaxed but still feeling dizzy and sore. 

With a soft sponge Mikah washed away the mud and blood with gentle strokes. I didn't care if this was how Mikah was seeing my boys naked for the first time, I didn't care about anything right now other that I was safe with Mikah.

"I want you to move in with me." Mikah said dabbing my face with the sponge and I watched the clean water turn a redish brown.

"Mikah I-,"

"You can have your own room with your own bathroom, you don't have to share with me if it's too soon." Mikah said cutting me off.

"It's not that. It would never fly when it comes to my parents." I said sitting up in the bath to look at Mikah, letting out a small grown with pain.

"I just want to keep you safe." Mikah face changed. He looked at the floor and I could see pain in his eyes like he'd failed me.

"And you will. Mikah this wasn't your fault."

"But it was. I hadn't noticed you'd left I never should have let you leave."

"That was my choice and how were you meant to know id gone."

"Your my mate Eleri, I feel these things but this time I didn't."

I took Mikah's face in my hand and lifted it so he was looking at me. His eyes looked sad and scared. Even now his beautiful amber eyes still take my breath away.
