I was making notes in class when a message popped up on my phone.

I threw Mikah a look from where I was sat but he still wasn't looking at me.
What about him Mikah? He was just being nice.

And why not! He's been nothing but nice to me.
He's not being nice to you for no reason Eleri get your head out the clouds for once in your life!

I couldn't believe Mikah right now. Was he really that jealous that he had to insult me, I couldn't see anything wrong with Gabriel being nice to me. Does he really think that I'm going to jump into bed with Gabriel. I thought Mikah was the only person to understand me but I guess I was wrong.
I flinched hearing a loud slam coming from the side of the room where Mikah was sat. He threw don't his phone and had his head in the hands.
The whole class turned to look at him.
"Mr Evans" the teacher said turning to look at Mikah.
"Sorry." He said not really sounding sorry.
"Mr Evans please try not to act like you want to be any where else but here because if that's the case leave now." The teacher said scolding.
"No Miss, I'm right where I want to be." Mikah said looking in my direction slightly.
My heart fluttered and I faced to front trying not to look at Mikah or letting anyone see that I'm blushing. I was still furious with him!
The bell rang for the end of the first class and I stayed behind wanting to finish my drawing and I had free lesson.
As Mikah walked past my desk he quickly threw a note on my desk as he passed. I grabbed it looking around to make sure everyone had gone and I opened it.
'Her hair burns like the sun, I see her and I am lit. For she is beautiful beyond compare, the girl with the blue eyes and fire for hair.'
I felt my heart swell reading those words. He was making it hard for me to be mad at him. I know he's just looking out for me but he needs to trust me too.
I folded up the note and slid it into my sketchbook.
I stared at the blank page of my sketchbook for a while not knowing what to draw but then I let my mind take over and drew whatever came to me.

I was so into my drawing that I didn't realise someone had entered the room and was stood beside me.
"Wow that's really good Eleri." Cat said making me jump and I quickly shut my book.
"Who is that you drew?"
"It's no one really just a random drawing." I said followed by a small nervous laugh.
"Anyway!" Cat said changing the subject which I was thankful for. "My parents are away for the night soo.. party at my place!"
"Cat I can't-,"
"Please for me." She said giving me the puppy eyes which always worked.
"Fine but only for one drink okay."
"Your the best!" Cat said kissing my cheek. "See you tonight!"
Catrin left the room and I let out a long sigh. I gathered up my folders and sketchbooks and stuffed as many as I could into my bag then carried the rest.
Me and Cat hadn't really spoken since the trip. I never found out what her deal was but honestly I was over it and she gave off the impression that she was too. So I'd decided to leave it.
I didn't see Mikah for the rest of the day as we only shared one class together, Art.
By the time I got home my Dad was still at work and mum so out so I was glad for the peace.
I threw my bag on the floor which I knew I would hear the end of it from mum later on but I was so tired I didn't care.
I slumped on my bed and opened my phone to see text's.

Cat always reminded me whenever we went to parties that I needed to wear something cute. I'm assuming so I didn't make her look like an idiot but who knows.

I was happy to see that Mikah had text me but then when I read it I remembered I was mad at him and of course he still wanted to talk about Gabe. What was so important about him?

I let out a load groan and slid out of bed and made my way over to my wardrobe.
Why was Mikah acting this way? I understand he wants to protect me but nothing will happen at a party full of humans surely.
