I was having my reheated macaroni and cheese when my phone started blaring out Marimba.

I seriously needed to get rid of that shìtty tune.

I checked the ID and groaned.

Anonymous

I was gonna scream so bad at this person whosoever it was. Annoyed, I answered the phone.

"Hello?" I spoke softly.

Talk about being bipolar.

"Hello? Violet?" A female voice asked on the phone. It familiar but I couldn't place it.

"Yes. This is Violet. Who are you?" I questioned.

"It's me. Alice." Ah. That did it. That was why she sounded familiar.

"Hey Alice! How's it going?" My mood instantly brightened but I had this nagging feeling in my mind that something was about to go wrong.

"It's going good. We'll chit chat later. I need to tell you something of utmost importance."

Shit.

I was gonna get fired. I knew it. She had discovered it. Elijah had discovered who I actually was and that I hadn't applied for the job that I had bagged. They were gonna sack me.

Alarms were going off in my head.

"I was instructed to inform you that you'll be starting from Monday. Come at nine. Don't be late. It's for your own good." She sounded worried. Worried? Why was she worried?

"Of course!" I faked a laugh. "Right!" I said with fake enthusiasm. "I don't wanna be late on my first day. Seriously, who does that?" I asked with mock incredulity in my voice.

Silence.

"You've got to be kidding me Alice." I deadpanned.

"Um... yeah. I was...erm. Yeah." She mumbled.

"I can't believe you got late on your first day," I said out loud before politely adding, "But thanks for informing Alli. I can call you Alli right? It's a cute nickname. I won't be late. Promise." I smiled but stopped when I realized she couldn't see me.

She chuckled. "Sure. Alli is alright."

"Alright? It's freaking amazing!" I sassed.

"Sure. It's amazing." She laughed. "Now I have to go. I'll email you the important stuff. I'll meet you Monday, okay? Goodnight."

"Okay. Ciao." I cheered.

Damn. Gustavo was rubbing off on me.

I started to get ready for the pub after attending that phone call.

Nora and I face-timed each other while getting dressed and the whole freaking time Gus ringed our phones just to annoy us. Before I knew it, Nora and Gus had started arguing. I put my phone on DND mode and got ready. I had such lovely friends.

I met them at the club one hour later.

Nora and I were dolled up; wearing sexy clothes with our hair curled and waved to perfection.

We looked fuçking fabulous.

As for Gus, I'll have to admit he looked fine. Damn, he looked fine.
