The kiss ended as soon as it started. But oh boy was it intoxicating. Just like the man standing in front of me with his eyes closed and his forehead resting on mine. Both of us were breathing heavily even though the kiss was short.

Calum was like my own personal drug. Addictive and corruptive but I just couldn't get enough of this euphoria that came from being so close to him. So wonderfully close to him.

I closed my eyes, trying to memorize this amazing feeling of his lips on mine.

God.

"Violet,"

Wow. Didn't know God answered so fast. Fascinating, really. But gosh he sounded awfully like Calum.

"Violet." A light nudge.

Oh shit. It was Calum.

"Hmm?" His forehead was still pressed against mine.

"Look at me." That was definitely a command but hey, he was a sight.

Slowly, I willed my lids to flutter open.

His face was flushed. He looked so innocent but I knew better.

"As much as I would love to stay here and continue this," He smirked, "I have to remind you that we have a meeting to attend."

I was sure I got even redder than I already was.

ßitch.

Both of us let go of each other. Calum straightened his jacket and tie while I smoothened the creases of my dress.

"C'mon," He held my hand and lead me to the elevator.

Friggin hell! Not in this monstrous small space again.

"Where is this conference room?" I asked Calum as we waited for the lift to arrive. It better not be ten levels down because if it was, I'll be damned.

Well, I already was. Calum was still holding my hand and I was tingling all over.

"Technically there are eight conference rooms in the whole building, but for tonight's meeting, we're going up." He answered.

"Up? As in... Mr Colton's floor?"

"That's right. There's a special conference room used only when he permits for it to be used or usually when he's leading a meeting which in this case, he is." He answered, smiling.

Okay.

*ding*

He lead me into the elevator and just as the doors closed, his whole demeanor changed.

He pushed me back up against the wall. His lips hovered over mine and my breathing started to get heavy.

He kissed me. It was surprisingly sweet.

"Consider this an apology for not telling you where I was. I knew you were upset." He whispered. Before I could say anything, he kissed me again, hard.

Woah.

"Consider this as compensation for what happened down there. To be honest, I'm not satisfied. I want more. I need more. So much more." He breathed and tucked my hair behind my ear.

And then he kissed me again. This one lasted much longer and was more urgent.

Holy mother of God. I was gonna die. I was gonna combust right here in the damned elevator. And all because of Calum fucking Hood.

"Consider this a promise," He backed up and the elevator doors opened.

"A promise that I'll make it up to you. I'll make up for the shortage of time we had down in my office. And I promise, I'll make sure you don't forget it for a long time." He smirked.
