I was beyond frustrated.

"You little—" I started.

Calum poked out his head from behind the door with a cheeky smile and said, "There's nothing little about me." And shut the door on my face.

"Ugh!" I groaned and slammed shut the door to my room. I took my pillow and screamed into it like a maniac.

I took numerous long breaths to calm myself. Calum was such a prick. Deciding that I needed a shower, I headed to the bathroom but I changed my mind. I chose to take a long warm bath instead. I poured lilac scented moisturising oils into the water and let myself soak in it for a considerable amount of time. Then I scrubbed myself with a sandalwood bodywash and shaved the necessary areas of my body.

I wanted to be in pristine condition for the event.

When I came out, it was just past 4 in the evening. I decided to wear a loose t-shirt with shorts and towel dried my hair before letting them air dry.

I wanted to know when we were supposed to leave so I could get started on getting ready for the party beforehand. Hence why I stood in front of my boss' door, my hand ready to knock.

"I can hear your brain overthinking from in here. Come in." He said from inside. I rolled my eyes but opened the door. He was on the bed, working on his laptop and gestured for me to come inside.

"When are we leaving?" I asked him as I took a seat in a chair. I was trying but failing to look unaffected by the way he was checking me out.

"Zurich? Or the party?" He asked.

"Both actually."

He looked up from his laptop and focused at me.

"The gala starts at 6. But we'll be there by 8 and will probably be back by 11. No promises though. We will be leaving the hotel around 7 to get there in time." He scratched his chin and I noticed the light stubble he had.

"About Zurich...," he continued, "I think we'll have to leave tomorrow evening around 6. I need to check the ticket details."

"You could forward them to me." I suggested.

"Alright."

"Right. Okay. I'll go now..." I got up to go but Calum stopped me.

"Wait. We have free time on our hands. Let's not waste it." He patted the mattress beside him.

Um, what?

"Oh cmon. Sit!" He beckoned me, putting his laptop aside and clearing the area to make space for me.

"It's fine Violet. I don't have a snake hiding under here." He patted the mattress again. "Or do I?" He gave me a wicked smile before scooping up the tangled bed sheets and threw them on the chair.

"You know what, I'm gonna go-"

"Okay, okay okay! Cmon. I was only kidding. Jeez. Chill."

I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Look I just wanna have a normal chat with you. Thats all."

"Okay." I stretched the syllable as I cautiously took a seat in front of him.

"You got something in your mind?" I asked.
