WITHOUT FURTHUR ADO LADIES AND GENTS OF WATTPAD, I PRESENT TO YOU CHAPTER 25 OF FALSE PRETENSES.

btw, it's rough #unedited

---------------------------------

I waited for an extra ten minutes when lunchtime began just so I could catch Calum and ask him to lunch. But he didn't come. Surprise surprise. In fact he seemed to radiate annoyance for some unfathomable reason and to my utter dismay, he was back to his arrogant, cold-stone self and had locked himself up in his office. Huh. He was probably buried under the mounds of papers he was working on. ßitch.

I was a little disheartened but my mood was lifted when I saw a familiar figure with brown hair sticking out perfectly in every direction and a pair of amazingly expressive blue eyes, coming towards me with a huge grin plastered across his face.

"Hey Purple" Victor winked.

Purple? Was this a joke? Seriously?

"Violet." I corrected, scowling.

"Meh. Big difference," He chuckled but raised his hands in surrender when I glared at him.

"Lunch, my lady?" He offered his hand.

I took it gratefully and smiled.

"Where to?" I asked as I picked up my purse.

"Follow my lead." He winked.

*~*~*~*~*~*

"So?"

"Huh, what?"

"It's good, huh?" Victor raised his eyebrows suggestively.

"Absolutely!" It really was. The risotto was delicious and if it wasn't for my already full stomach I wouldn't have minded another serving of it.

Me. Contemplating second servings! That's how good it was!

"Tell me. What did you wanna talk about?" I questioned as I sipped on my Diet Coke. When we were walking on our way to the restaurant, Victor had dropped hints that he wanted to ask me something very important.

"Uh, would you... Look I know this is really early but... Would you like to..." He exhaled heavily before shaking his head in a cute manner.

He scrunched his blue eyes as he managed to choke out what he had been trying to say.

"Wilugonabonfrwitme?"

Okay. What in the name of God was that?

"What in the hell did you just say? Was that Swahili? Because man, don't expect me to understand that, okay?"

He sighed.

"Will you go on a bonfire with me?" He said crisply.
