DOWNLOAD BOTH OF THEM IF YOU DON'T HAVE THEM. DON'T READ THE CHAPTER IF YOU DON'T HAVE THEM. please. The flight was about to land and I was getting jittery. I pitied the arm rests which were getting squished under the deadlock of my hands. Yes, I was gripping them that hard.
I mean, cmon! I was at least trying not to freak out. Gimme some credit here.
Calum on the other hand was sitting carelessly and messing his hair with expertise.
Running his hands through it again and again. And again. And again. What was his problem? Was he nervous about something?
Suddenly we experienced turbulence and all thoughts left my mind but one.
"I'm going to die."
"Calm down Violet. Its just a little turbulence."
"I am going to die."
"Violet."
Cue another violent shake,
"Don't Violet me! I am about to die!"
"Close your eyes. Happy thoughts Ms Morgan."
I closed my eyes.
"Nope. I'm still gonna die."
"No you're not."
As I ignored Calum and concentrated on my breathing I felt a hand pry open my clenched one. Without question, I held onto it. I was so not going to let him go. Not until we were safely on the ground.
I waited. And waited.
I felt jerks and shocks but I didn't dare open my eyes or unclench my jaw or release his hand. He had warm hands. Big warm hands. Comfy hands.
"Violet?"
I did not dare reply.
"It's fine. You can let go now. We've landed. It's over."
I opened my eyes and saw him staring sincerely at me. "You sure?"
He nodded and motioned towards our entwined hands. His hand was paler than his arm. Did I cut off his blood supply? Sheepishly I let go. He waved and shook his hand. It had gone numb. I could tell from the awkward way his fingers jiggled.
He got up and proceeded to leave. I followed him out of the aircraft and the first thing that hit me with full force was the fresh air. The second thing that hit me was Calum's back. And he smelled like Dior.
I stumbled but regained balance. He threw a narrowed sideways glance back at me. Rude.
Zurich was immersing into darkness as I step foot on its land but from what I could see, even in the dim light it was very beautiful.
Calum took long strides and I wordlessly followed him.
"Luggage." He explained.
"Right."
When we came out of the airport, Calum confused me when he promptly ignored the cab drivers and strode away. I mean he was rude, I get it but weren't we supposed to get a ride to our hotel?
