We were almost to the house when I then stop in my tracks, Which makes Uncle John look back at me with a confused expression. "I won't let them hurt you... But I need to know... How do you know me and Elena's Mother, I doubt it was just when she was giving birth to us, since you gave her your ring. Why did you send her in Damon's direction." I ask with a confused expression and Uncle John sighs as if accepting defeat.

"I know you wouldn't let them hurt me... I first met Isobel when I was a teenager." John begins and my eyes widened. "So he did know her." I think as he then walk over to me and stared into my eyes. "I fell in love with your Mother instantly, although I'm pretty sure she never loved me. She was a very special women... Part of why I hate vampires so much is because of her... "Wait, don't tell me..." I think as he then continued. "I never would've sent her to Damon had I known she wanted to turn." John answers and I felt like my brain was going to explode. "How could I have been so blind!?" I wonder as I then looked down and felt like I was going to cry.

"You're actually... Me and Elena's Dad?" I question as I look up at him with tears in my eyes. John then puts on a confused expression, but then nods. "I guess it's no surprise why I feel such a strong connection with him... Way more than I felt with my parents. Well Aunt and Uncle... Okay that just sounded really weird." I think as my brains feels like it's going into overdrive, when John then hugs me.

"You really don't need to over think this.. I actually was never going to tell you or Elena, but right now when you asked me I felt like I couldn't lie to you... However if possible could you keep this a secret from Elena. I don't think she is ready to hear it, so you can just treat me like you always have." John says and I look up at him with disbelief. However Once I saw his sullen expression I then smiled.

"I promise I won't tell Elena any of this... However I wish I would've known sooner, to be honest..." I say and John then smiles.

"Thank you (Y/N) Well we better get home, now." John says and I nod as I let go of him.

(Time Skip)

(To Damon)

He was called to the Founders Hall and talking to Liz. "There was a disturbance at the hospital. Some of the supply was compromised." Liz says with a concerned expression on her face.

"Compromised. You mean, stolen?" Damon questioned.

"We almost missed it. The inventory records were altered. But when the manager was questioned, he had no recollection of changing them." Liz explains.

"Meaning the vampire used mind control... To hide the theft." John says glaring at Damon, who then turns to him looking a bit annoyed.

"I know what you meant." Damon acknowledges.

"We wouldn't have known if John had not alerted us to recent discrepancies at other hospital blood banks... In the county." Liz informs.

"How lucky for us we have John." Damon says trying to hold a fake smile while looking over at John and he smiles back.

"We're stepping up security, giving the guards vervain... To prevent this from happening again." Liz explains.

"Sheriff might I offer a suggestion? Why don't Damon and I put our heads together? We could track down whoever's doing this. I mean he is dating my niece, so I would like to get to know him better." John says and Damon gives him a confused look.

"Truthfully, I could use extra hands. Is that something you'd be willing to do?" Liz asks looking over at Damon.

"Well, of course. I mean, he is right that we need to get know each other." Damon answers with a fake smile.
