Chapter 16

I wake up feeling bizarrely comfortable, but I am still tired so I was about to fall back asleep, but then it hit me. "Wait, where am I?!" I think to myself as I get up and look around to see an unfamiliar place, but then my neck began to hurt. I brought my hand to my neck and then everything came back to me. "Oh my god, did Damon kill me? Am I..." I wonder to myself as I then held out my hand and whisper a spell. A flame appears in my hand and I let out a sigh of relief. "Hold on, I shouldn't be feeling relaxed. Why am I here and where is Rick?!" I wonder to myself as I slowly get out of the bed, but then I felt a slight breeze.

"Did you sleep well, Firecracker?" Damon's voice which came from behind me asked sweetly, and made me jump. I then turn around to see him right behind me and I back up while glaring at him.

"Where's Rick?" I ask and Damon smirks.

"Probably 10 feet under by now." Damon answers sarcastically and I felt a stabbing pain in my heart.

"You killed him... I say breathlessly and Damon chuckles. "What the hell is wrong with you!?" I exclaim angrily and he then put on a serious expression.

"Do you want to go a round 2 Firecracker? I mean we both know what happened last night." Damon questions with amusement in his voice and I sigh. Suddenly my phone goes off on Damon's dresser. I go to get it, but before I am about to grab it Damon vamp speeds over to it and grabs it.

"Damon, give me my phone!" I say anger rising back up again, while Damon turns it on.

"Oh, it's from Elena. "(Y/N), why didn't you come home last night? Where are you? Are you already at School?" Aw isn't she sweet." Damon says as I am trying to grab my phone. I then see it's way passed time I needed to be at School and I stop trying to grab it as I let out a sigh.

"So, am I a prisoner or something?" I ask annoyed and he scoffs.

"For today, you are. It's not like you got anything better to do, since you're already missing School, like a bad kid." Damon snickers.

Fine." I say as I hold out my hand to sign I want my phone, but he shakes his head.

"Nope, I'll hold onto it for you. Can't have you calling or texting my dear brother or you're sister." Damon says as he slides my phone into his pocket. "Damn it... Why do I feel happy about this, I am supposed to made at him! But he technically didn't kill my Mother he just turned her. Think (Y/N) he killed Rick, you can't just forgive him like that! For now I will just go along with it." I think to myself as we are walking out of the room.

(To Matt)

"Hey, Mom." Matt calls out while setting a plate and drink on the table. "Mom." Matt sighs and then walks over to her door. "Hey, Mom." Matt says while knocking on the door and she then opens it.

"What? I'm trying to sleep." Kelly asks coming out of the room.

"Uh, I was just making sure you're alive." Matt says and Kelly sighs.

"I'm sorry, sweetie, it was a late night. My head is throbbing." Kelly says.

"Yeah, um, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't being the party home. I'm pretty sure the neighbors would appreciate it, too." Matt responds.

"It wasn't a party. It was one guy. Don't be so judgy." Kelly claims.

"Yeah, well, I talked to Roberta at the Grill. And there's still a bartending position open if you wanted to get a job." Matt informed.

"Well, I figured she'd still be pissed about the last time I worked there." Kelly insinuated.

"I think she's desperate." Matt says.
