The train sped of into the eternal darkness of the tunnel. Ella stared out the window of the train in disbelief. She held onto the pole in front of her, her arms shaking so violently with fear. Her mind was filled with thoughts of Dan and Phil. Their faces, staring at her, screaming her name from the platform as the train sped off into the unknown. She wanted to reach out to them. They had been so close, yet, so far away. Untouchable.
She let the tears drip down her tanned cheeks, which were now pale with utter shock. Slowly, the train began to slow down and stopped. Not knowing what to do Ella decided to leave the train and got off at the stop. It soon left her stranded and alone on an unknown platform she had never been to. She shuffled towards the nearest empty bench. Her held head low and facing down so no one could see her face. She took a deep breath in, and wept.

Dan and Phils Pov

Like a flash the train left from their sight. They both stood there stunned from the situation. They couldn't comprehend what had just happened. Phil took a deep breath and turned around. Dan raised his hands to his face and held his forehead. He didn't even have the ability to speak, his voice had disappeared and it seemed like his throat had caved in, not allowing him so express himself."What do we do now Dan?" Phil said with fear in his voice. "We've only had her one day and-and-"
"Phil-" Dan tried to calm him down.
"We lost her! We lost Ella!" Phil screamed.
Everyone on the station stared at the two of them in confusion. Dan quickly pulled him to the side beside the wall, so they were out of the crowd. Dan chewed the inside of his cheek, trying his best not to let his emotions get the best of him. He had to keep calm. If not, who knows whether they'd ever find Ella again.
"Phil, calm yourself people are staring-"
"Dan tell me you are not afraid, tell me you are able to cope with this." Phil said breathlessly.
He clung onto the hem of Dans shirt and leant up to him. His heart was beating so fast it almost seemed as if it were about to break. They were inches apart. Their noses almost touching. Phil stared into Dans eyes with a flare of mixed emotions.
Anger, fear, confusion, love..."I'm scared too Phil." Dan gulped. "We will find her, don't worry."
Phil squeezed his eyes tight and bit down hard on his lip. He nodded up and down repeatedly in hope Dan's words were true. Suddenly, out of the odds, not caring about the world around them, or how many people were staring. Dan reached up and wrapped his arms around Phil. Pulling him so tightly into a hug.
It was a perfect hug. One that they seemed to melt into each other, one where they both closed their eyes and all the noise in the room just stopped, a hug where Dan just lost track of where his body stops and Phil's begins. A hug where Phil felt safe and comfortable, like in a dream, he had no worries, no fears, just the calm blissful feeling of Dan holding him close and never letting go.
Phil burrowed his face in the arch of Dans shoulder, his jet black hair brushed against the bare skin around Dans collar bone and face. Tickling the soft skin around Dans neck. Dan replied to this by curving his neck to allow Phil to burry his head, whilst snuggling up to him with his own. The world disappeared. It was just the two of them. Together in peace.
Finally, they released from their embrace, Dan looked at Phil with a gaze of compassion and desire. At once, it was quickly dismissed and he stared at him the way he usually did.
As just a friend.
He nodded towards the train tracks."Come on," he murmured, his voice was slightly croaky. "Let's go find Ella."
Phil was taken aback. He glanced at the filthy stone floor then back at Dan.
"Okay," he said, digging his teeth into his bottom lip.
Dan slowly nodded and walked towards the tracks, waiting impatiently for the next train. Phil stood paralyzed for a moment.
'What just happened?' He thought to himself.
The moment they just had, was it real? For the first time in a while, Phil felt whole- not that he wasn't already whole. But, the way you feel when you have that piece which makes you feel that you were more then you could ever be. And when it's gone; you can never feel whole again. He quickly brushed the feeling away and continued towards Dan. The next train came quickly. A rush of cold air flew past them as the train passed. Phil stared at the train as it stopped, through the corner of his eye he saw Dan staring at him. They boarded the train and took seats by the window, making sure they could see out in case Ella was on any platform they passed.
"Hey Phil?" Dan asked.
"Hmm?"
"Do you have Ella's number?"
Phil's eyes lit up slightly, "I think I added it in my contacts after breakfast."He grabbed his phone and scrolled through his contacts until he found one which said 'Ella^.^' . He tapped it and began to call. Dan eagerly stood beside. The phone began to ring. Phil pressed it against his ear and hoped she would answer. Suddenly the ringing stopped.
"H-h-hello?" Ella's voice whimpered through the phone.
"Ella thank god are you okay?" Phil nearly shouted into the phone.
"Phil? Hi, oh wow, please find me I don't know where I am."
Dan snatched the phone from Phil's hands and began to talk into the phone.
"Ella we are coming to get you, where are you?" Dan said in a rushed tone.
"I'm off the train I'm in the station erm-"
Suddenly, the phone call hung up. The repetitive beeps rang in their ears.
"Ella? Ella!" Dan yelled into the phone. "Oh no,"
He clicked on her name again and it rang once more. Her voice answered, yet it sounded mechanical and low quality. The call was not working.
"Crap," Dan hissed between his teeth. "She must have bad reception or something, the calls not working."
"Well, we know she's off the train. We will just have to look through the stations." Phil said with hope.
Suddenly there was an opening and closing of doors. The train had just passed the first station. They stared wide eyed and looked out the window. Ella was no where to be seen.
"She's not here," Phil mumbled.
Dan shrugged. "Maybe the next?"
The train continued down its path. They still looked out the window, making sure she was not at this platform; but she was no where in sight. The only people who caught their eyes were a crowd of teens walking around the platform and strangely, a girl with chestnut hair sitting on a bench with her head held low.
