The journey home was quicker than usual. No delayed trains, no traffic, nothing. Surprisingly everything was okay. Ella was practically skipping the way home, she had a large spring in her step and a light peach blush tainted her cheeks with colour. Her hair flowed nicely behind her- not messily how it usually would- but perfectly behind her, not even getting in her face once. It seemed to fall back in the wind the way it would in movies. Things were perfect- almost too perfect. Once home, she grabbed the keys to the apartment and opened the door. Then letting it close behind her. As she walked up the steps to the lounge where she suspected Dan and Phil were. She heard a moaning sound. Ella stopped at her tracks and her face practically dropped. The sound was coming from one of the bedrooms.
"Oh my god," she said in a hushed tone.
Ella crept the rest of the way inside, the closer she came to the room- the louder the noises were. Now able to detect it was coming from Phil's room. Ella didn't know wether to investigate or ignore.
Being the curious thing she dropped her things and kept making her way to Phil's room. She continued until she was just outside the door. The sounds from inside muffled a little by the closed door.
"Owwmmmm,"
"Phil," another voice lingered.
Dan was in there too. Ella's mouth opened, and she slowly began to reach for the door handle. What if she was interrupting something intimate? Her eyes squeezed shut with a little fear as she knew this could end badly. Too late now. She turned the door handle and door flew open. And there she saw in surprise; Phil clutching his elbow moaning in pain and Dan shaking his head at him.
Both their heads turned to her as the door swung open.
"Oh hey Ella," Dan smiled. "How was your walk?"
Ella paused, still with shock and slight relief. "F-fine I guess..."
Her head then turned to Phil who was rubbing his elbow.
"What happened to you Phil?" She asked
"Well I was just getting ready when Dan came in and scared the living fluff out of me-"
"And he hit the drawers with his elbow." Dan finished Phil's sentence.
"Yeah," Phil said between clenched teeth. "Oww!"
Ella silently thanked that nothing serious was happening as things would have been awkward...really awkward.
"Oh I met Pj today," Ella continued the conversation.
"Really? He's in London?" Dan asked.
"Oh that's great I haven't seen him in ages," Phil said, standing up. He seemed to have recovered from his elbow incident.
Ella nodded, "yeah I also met his friend Leo." She started to blush when he said his name.
"Oh never heard of him." Phil replied.
"Me neither," Dan chipped in.
They all made their way out of the bedroom and to the lounge. Ella then also thanked they didn't notice her slight blush.
'Dios mio they can be so oblivious sometimes.' She thought to herself.
They all sat down and decided to watch death note so Ella could continue watching it or maybe finish it.
"Are you sure?" Ella asked, just in case they'd rather see something else.
"No I want to. I think you're near the part where L finally d-"
What he was going to say was covered by Dans hand shutting his mouth.
"Phil you idiot."
His eyes flew open when he realised what he was about to spoil. "Ss...o...r..r..y"
Dan laughed at his attempt to speak through his hands and at the sound of his muffled voice.
It was about to start when Dan quickly paused it.
"Oh Ella we forgot to tell you something quite erm, important."
"Yes?"
'Well-"
Dan was interrupted by Phil who was trying to speak and signal Dan to get his hand off his face.
"Oh sorry." Dan said sarcastically.
"Took you long enough," Phil gasped for air with exaggeration.
"Can I continue Phil?" Dan continued.
Phil nodded his head.
"Well since Zoe- as in Zoella- has released her new Summer line of beauty products and all that, we were invited to go to the party thing."
"You can come with us since that's probably the easiest option. But if you don't want to go we're fine with staying."
Ella raised an eyebrow. "Are you kidding?"
"That means a..."
"'An obvious yes."
Dan laughed slowly and sarcastically, "this brings us onto the second point. Haha, er might want to start packing now."
"Don't tell me-"
"Catching the train to Brighton tonight."
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!"
Practically bursting out the door and to her room Ella grabbed her suitcase and started thinking on what to take. 'Brighton's by the seaside so I might want to take a swimming costume, or not?' She said in her head.
"Phil!" Ella called out the door.
"Yeah?"
"What's the beach like in Brighton!"
"Beachy."
"Thanks." She yelled sarcastically.
"De nada Ella!" He called in his terrible Spanish accent.
It took only a few hours to pack, but it was worth it. She now didn't have the stress of last minute packing unlike a certain two who were running round the house like madmen trying to find the hair straighteners.
Now only having an hour and a half to get to the train station, Dan and Phil were almost done packing for their short Holiday to Brighton and were panicking over the one thing they could not find; hair straighteners.
"When did you last use them?" Phil called across to Dans room while searching every nook and cranny in his own room.
"This morning to get rid of my hobbit hair."
"Where?"
"I think in the corridor or something- don't know."
Ella was enjoying watching them panic, it was a hilarious sight to watch them rush around. She even made herself a small bowl of popcorn. Dan rushed passed and saw her munching away.
"Are we amusing to you?"
"Very."
And off he went to check the other rooms.
"Found them!" Dan then yelled.
"Where were they?" Phil called.
"Ella's room."
Ella stopped eating her popcorn. "What."
"Did you leave them on again?"
"Erm..."
"Dan you idiot."
Now finally ready they all left the apartment, making sure everything was locked and secure. They caught a taxi to the train station and made it just on time. As soon as Ella knew it she was once again travelling. This time on her way to Brighton.
