The week flew by, faster than expected, time was a toy and Ella held the hands. Somehow, her mother had gotten better in those last few days. Not completely, but there was a change.
The pre-planned taxi arrived at their doorstep. Ella peeped out the window and grappled her and her mothers suitcase.
"Mama! Taxis here!" She yelled excitedly.
All week she had been texting and calling Anna, they were two peas in a pod- inseparable. Sure, she was sad they wouldn't be together as much this summer, but, they vowed they'd Skype everyday.
*bing*
Ella lifted her phone from her pocket and saw at least twelve messages from friends at school wishing her luck. The message who caught her eye was Anna's:
'Good luck bebs! Don't forget me:* and FIND DAN AND PHIL!!!'
Ella chuckled at her last comment, like herself, Anna was a h-u-g-e fan of them...and not to mention completely jealous of her llama hat.
Ella quickly replied:
'I'll miss ya too<3And I will:3'
*send*
She hopped inside the taxi and was greeted by her mother who was already there,
"You ready?" Her mother asked her.
"Yes," she replied taking her mothers hand and squeezing it.

---------------oh look, a bird--------------

A grin spread, ear to ear as Ella exited the plane and walked through Heathrow airport. She noticed a few girls pointing at her hat, she decided to wear it on the plane hoping fellow fangirls would notice- and frankly they did. After receiving their bags they saw a lady holding a sign with their surnames. Ella's mum laughed and ran to hug her,
"Long time no see," the lady smiled.
"Likewise, oh this is my daughter Ella," she replied pulling Ella softly to her side.
The lady covered her hands with her mouth and gave a short gasp, she looked at her mum with a surprised look in her eyes.
"Hi Ella, I'm Catherine an old friend of your mothers," she gave Ella a kiss on the cheek.
They began to walk to the car park, Ella trailing behind carrying her bag. She managed to hear some of their conversation.
"How old is she?"
"Sixteen,"
"She is a gorgeous young lady," she gasped.
"I know, she's grown so much."
"Who is she staying with?"
"Oh, you remember..."
Ella was to far behind to hear the rest of the conversation, she bit her lip angrily as she desperately wanted to know who she was staying with- now knowing it defiantly wasn't Catherine.

They hopped into the large jet black land rover and Catherine put their luggage in the boot. The car smelt strange and looked strange too. The seats were leathery white, and smelt of liquorish and car cleaner. The wheel was on the opposite side to where it usually was, which made Ella's eyebrows raise. The car began to move and as soon as they knew it they were driving into London.
Ella laid her head on the glass and looked out, it was going to be a pretty long drive so she knew she might as well rest. Outside, it was dark. There was a strange unknown darkness of the night which she wasn't familiar to, and fluffy mystic clouds blended into the summer night sky, giving the sense of a blanket. Cars sped down the motor way, their bright red lights shone and light up the bare they passed multiple fields of brown and golden yellow grass. Slowly but surely, her eyes began to droop with fatigue. And she drifted off to sleep.

Ella woke up to the sound of a fierce engine of a motorbike speeding past her. She jolted up with fright- banging her head on the roof of the car.
"Owch!" She exclaimed, removing her llama hat and rubbing her head.
"You okay Ella?" Asked an unfamiliar voice, then remembering it was Catherine's.
"Yeah, just knocked my head-"
Ella opened her eyes and saw they were now in a big city, outside were flashing shop lights and groups of pedestrians hurrying along the pavements. She looked back inside the car and noticed something odd. She felt a horrid put inside which made her stomach churn.
Her mother wasn't in the car.
"Where's my mum?" She said with a shake in her voice.
"Oh, sorry sweetie," Catherine began. "I dropped her off at the hospital 'bout half an hour ago."
"I'm sorry, what?"
"She didn't want you to feel bad." Catherine said, with slight sorrow in her voice.
"Oh," Ella sighed, "ok."
She felt a little hurt, but, she knew it was for the best. For a sixteen year old, she was pretty good at hiding her emotions from people. At the end of the day- it was her mother who would notice how she really felt.
"So," Catherine said merrily, trying to brush off what just happened. "First time in London huh?"
"Yeah,"
"You're going to love it!"
Ella forced a small smile, she saw Catherine look back at her through the front mirrors. They were a silvery blue, very bright and friendly. Blue eyes weren't too common in Spain.
"Make sure you go site-seeing and to the theatres and..." She blabbed on.
Ella blanked out and continued staring out the window. She was excited to embark on this new adventure, excited to see what the world had in store for her, but mostly excited to find Dan and Phil which had a low chance of happening.
"I like your hat," Catherine smiled.
"Oh, thanks." Ella laughed,
She saw the car was slowing down, she didn't notice were they were going and had no clue where they were- she just went along.
"We're here."
