Adopted by Dan and Phil

~One night with Zoella~

"Dan?Phil? I thought I heard voices! Oh and you must be Ella."
They all stopped what they were doing and turned to the door. It was now open and Zoe's face was poking out the side of the door. She then moved to welcome them.
"Hi!" Dan said pulling Zoe into a hug.
"Great to see you again," she squealed.
"Hey," Phil smiled, then hugging her.
"Alfie's just inside finishing dinner. Are you guys hungry? Want anything?"
"No no we're fine, don't worry about it."
The two of them walked inside while Zoe held the door. Ella followed behind.
"You're Ella right?" Zoe asked with a smile.
Ella nodded, "yes, hi."
"She's quite old isn't she?" Zoe asked Dan. "When you told me you and Phil were taking care of a young girl over summer I thought you meant like a four year old or something!"
Dan laughed. "No, but sometimes she acts like one-"
"Oye." Ella snapped at Dan, which earned a laugh from Zoe.
"Well aren't you two just a show."

She showed them to their rooms. Dan and Phil were both sharing the guest room, which was very basic with two separate beds. Since she had thought Ella was younger she thought she'd be staying in the same room as the two of them and set up a cute little tent for her with soft pillows and pretty light pink blankets.
Zoe's face blushed, "oopsies. Sorry about that Ella." She giggled. "Like I said- I thought you were four."
Ella smiled. "Don't worry about it and i think this is just fine for me."
Zoe nodded and thanked Ella for not complaining or causing a little bit of havoc. She then told them to put their belongings down and to join her downstairs as soon as they were done.

Dan sighed and put down his suitcase whilst Phil let his plonk to the floor, the corner landing on Dans foot.
"Oh for god sake! Not again, Phil!" Dan yelped in pain.
"I'm sorry I can't help it I'm so clumsy!" Phil whined.
Ella sighed and crossed her arms, "why do I feel I've seen this before?"
"Because you have." Dan said quickly. "Many, many times."
Phil rubbed one foot behind his ankle in a vertical motion and hung his head low, making his fringe cover his apologetic face.
Ella's lips frowned and she lightly rubbed Phil's arm in an attempt to make him feel better.

"Don't worry about a silly thing like that Phil," she sweetly smiled. "In Spain, I used to be the clumsiest girl in my class."
He pushed his fringe out of his eyes and looked at her, his head tilted slightly to the side, intrigued with her story.
Ella continued. "I remember one time we went to a school trip to the Hipica Sotogrande - which is a horse-riding club there - and when I was trying to get on the horse I fell off and landed in the large, stone drinking bath for the horses."
Phils' lips curved into a smile and she saw his chest rise and fall from chuckling. She realized Dan had stopped what he was doing and was listening to her story. And now he too was laughing at her incredibly cringe-filled fail.
Ella laughed with them at her story, "I was the talk of the school. God they didn't stop calling me 'aguaita' until some other person did some utterly humiliating thing."
"Aguaita?"
Ella placed her hand on her forehead, "my twelve year old self had no shame. I friggin' embraced the name."
Her statement earned a laugh from both of them.
Dan continued, "we should get going downstairs. They'll be waiting for us."

Then, Dan stretched out his arm in Phil's direction and raised his eyebrows. After a moments hesitation, Phil reached out his hand and placed it on Dans. He couldn't shake away the feeling of warmth which radiated off Dans hand and made his whole arm tingle with the strangest of feeling. The sensation itself felt actually; nice.
They began to walk out the door, hands laced together, when Dan stopped and nodded his head at Ella who was quickly checking her phone.
"Come on, Aguaita."

Before they entered the room where Zoe and Alfie were in, Dan and Phil let go of each others grip. Thinking it was best to keep their little secret, a secret.
Suddenly, a small black pug came barging through towards the three of them and began jumping up and down with excitement.
"Nala!" Zoe's voice called out to her little pug.
She soon approached them, following behind her was Alfie who intact was vlogging.
"Hey guys good to see you again." Alfie said half vlogging.
"Hi-i," Dan said noticing the camera and letting the 'i' linger a little longer and added a pulse of sarcastic laughter.
"Hey," Phil then said.
"Who's this?" Alfie then pointed out.
Zoe then lightly punched Alfie's bicep, "I told you, they were bringing Ella the girl they're looking after, silly."
Alfie's face lightened. "Oh, sorry Ella I forgot about you."
"Haha, don't worry about it."

Alfie then put off the camera for a moment, "sorry I forgot I was vlogging didn't mean for that." He scratched the back of his head.
"It's fine,"
"We were just thinking of putting a movie on!" Zoe told them. "Any requests?"
They all shrugged their shoulders.
"Ella?" She asked Ella.
"I don't mind at all."
Zoe walked to Ella and took hold of her arm as if they'd been friends for ages.
"How about a really girly chick-flick to annoy the boys?" Zoe smirked.
Before Ella could reply, the sounds of the three boys groaning with annoyance filled the room.
"Is that a yes then?" Ella laughed.
"One hundred percent."
