Andre thought everything was alright with me. He thought I was cool with him not being there for me. If Andre was not with me, I would loose it. As I took finger-dip, I could feel the effects acting on me. It stung me like an insect that ran through my body painfully. I was on the floor after taking it. One day, it would finish. It would remain just one sachet in my pack. One day I may be the one to get rid of it. I did not know why it bothered me so much.
I sprang up from the ring of the house' doorbell for the third time. I was no longer confident it would be my group. I went to the door and standing there was...Marie, Ludie, Nate and Caldwell! I wanted to jump for joy but I didn't. Only God knew how happy I was that they actually showed up. I wanted to hug them all at a time and cry telling them this was one of the greatest moments of my life, for just seeing them at my door!
'Are you gonna let us in or what?' Marie asked with a smile. I did not know I already had my hands to my mouth with tears hanging in my eyes.
'I'm just so happy and really really sorry that I...'
'Anna.' Nate said when Marie took us both by the neck and made a group hug. I could not stop crying. It was so lovely to be with all of them again and Caldwell was even smiling at me.
                   ***********
I excitedly went back to my room to get my brother's sweatshirt on instead of the long-ish sleeveless top I had on. I was just so happy for all the crazy reasons. As I came down the stairs, I slowed down on listening to Ludie and Caldwell's conversation.
'Yo I can't believe Lucie's your twin! Like mind blowing!' Caldwell said.
'I guess it sounds crazy right?'
'Totally. Epic reveal too.' Caldwell said laughing. 'It was kinda the reason for Lucie and I's breakup. But now I know the truth...' What? I tripped at that moment falling down the remaining stairs. Ouch. I did not know which was worse; what I heard or the fall.
Everyone came to help me up. It wasn't that painful but when I saw it was Caldwell getting me up, I kind of faked the gravity of just how much pain I felt.
'Are you okay?' Caldwell asked rubbing my knee while looking lovingly into my eyes. I kept my eyes steady on his face  nodding. He let me go but I kept my stare. If I was a guy I would have an unending erection. He looked so sexy with his new stubble and his fuller brown hair.
       'Anna.' Somebody said.
'Yes. Yes.' I said snapping out of my imagination.
'You're staring at me.' Caldwell said.
'Er... I...I... I don't think so.' I said shaking my head vigorously. Caldwell gave a warm smile that made me embarrassed.
                         ********
The theory seemed to make around 56% sense to my group because I could see the confusion/belief in their eyes.
'I mean it makes sense but then it's all on probability. We aren't even sure about the connection of K.L to the vandal.' Nate said.
'It is! Ca... can't you see...see i..it?' I struggled to explain amidst the disbelief.
'O_kay. Before Anna bites off her tongue. I think the story makes sense but then what to do now's a serious problem.' Marie said with her arm on my shoulder. 'So anything Anna?' Marie asked. I never really thought about what next after making a reasonable theory.
'We tell the police?' I suggested.
'Wow Anna.' Ludie said burying his face in his palm.
'Awwn. Sweet sweet Anna.' Marie said with puppy eyes. 'Go on. Explain how we gonna do it. Go on.'
'Em... we'll go tell the Police that we know K.L. was the vandaliser and...'
      'Who's K.L?'
'The vandal?' I said waiting for the worst reaction from Marie.
'Christ! Don't tell me you're now as dumb as the white dude.' Marie shouted.
'Come on Marie, don't insult Caldwell.' Ludie said.
'Dude! You could be the white dude!' Caldwell shook his head; we were all getting on each other's nerves again.
           'I'm half Portuguese.' Ludie said.
'Still white dude!' Caldwell said. Obviously, it was Caldwell Marie was referring to.
'Girl?' Marie said as everyone faced me for a plan.

'What do you want me to say!' I burst out. 'I_it's not li_like we can just call him up f_for the police.' I said sitting on the sofa.
'Or... maybe we can.' Caldwell said. Oh goodness. Caldwell really was a dumb white dude.
'You gonna be saying shit like right now?' Said Marie.
'No, no. What if there's a way we can literally call K.L. to a place, but also get the police there.' He said. We all became quiet. The white boy had a point.
'That actually made some sense Caldwell.' Ludie was the first to admit.
'Yo! Respect.' Marie said too, sealing the impress.
                       ********
I stopped Marie on her way home to talk about Jake.
'Have you gone to the authorities?' I whispered.
         'Yeah, I did.' Marie said.
         'What'd they do?' I asked.
'Asked me some questions and stuff. Some disgusting stuff...then they went for Jake. Motherfucker denied it. They be asking for proof now.' Marie said.
'So are you heading home?' I asked.
'No dawg. Pretty sure my aunt's gonna rip me apart.'
       'So...where are you gonna stay?'
'I'll crash somewhere good.' Marie said. She was such a tough girl.
'You can stay here if you want.' I offered.
'Come on. I'm gonna be fine. You have your crib all to yourself. It's all good.'
'Okay. I'm gonna tell my brother you dropped by.' I said purposefully.
'Yo, Andre's gonna be in tonight?' Marie asked with so much enthusiasm.
'Yeah. He's coming in by 7.' I said. Marie smiled at me.
'Thanks dawg.' She said getting back into the house. Yay! Sleepover!
