Caldwell's house was nice but we had to use his basement and he was not at all the hospital type. Or maybe just not to his group members. Caldwell and the others were seated doing things to pass time. I wondered if they knew this was thirty percent of our grades.
'Em... should... shouldn't we be doing some... something.' I said with my head bowed.
'Spoony is right, we should do something.' Caldwell said.
'Don't call her spoony, white boy.' Marie said. 'It was obviously your ex bitch that got in her head.' Marie was talking about the incident that brought the name spoony.
    'Thanks.' I said.
'Yo, I wasn't tryin'a save your ass. Keep stammering and your names gonna become glitch.' Marie said without smiling. I preferred she did not help me than to come up with another possible nickname.
'Obviously you guys are counting on me.' Caldwell said not even waiting for anyone to oppose. He brought out a paper and a pen. He wrote down a bunch of gibberish as our plan disappointing everyone.
'We're doomed.' said Nate. 'This is our apocalypse.' he said going back to where he previously sat.
'You know for a boy who looks so smart and honestly hot, your brain is dead.' Marie said. Caldwell appeared shocked by her statement but he deserved it.
'Yo Annie, anything? Don't tell me those glasses are for nothing.' Marie said taking my glasses off and looking at them. Everywhere became blurry. My eyesight was so bad.
'Please give me my glasses.' I said trying to find the black blurry figure.
'You really can't see without this?' An unfamiliar voice said. It had to be Ludie. I have never heard him speak. I shook my head gropping as I sought my glasses. They began to play games with me. Passing it until I could not tell who it was with my glasses. I tripped falling on one of them which was Caldwell.
'Give her glasses back.' Ludie said. I wished I could see him laughing.
'Will you help us plan?' Marie asked. Her voice was distant.
'Yes.' I said immediately. My glasses were handed back to me. I realized I was still on Caldwell but he was not complaining but looking into my eyes and I felt like he searched my soul. He removed my glasses but I snatched it back thinking he wanted to play more games. I got up from him and that was when he snapped out of the stare.
'Your eyes.' He said, looking for what to say.
'Yes I can't see without glasses.' I said staring at the ground.
Marie and the others sat with their eyes on what I was writing.
'Guys come on are we gonna listen to a girl who doesn't know what a spoon is?' Caldwell said holding his paper of a better plan.
'Well you can imagine how dumb you are because a girl who doesn't know what a spoon is, knows a lot more than you ever will.' Marie said. I had out listed everything important to solve our mystery.
      #Examine the crime scene.

      #Get clues leading to the
         culprit.

      #Find out about culprit's home
        and ways of invitation.

      #Inform the police.

      #Get good grades.

Marie and the others smiled. Caldwell rolled his eyes to prove he was not impressed.
'Her first point is examining the crime scene. Before the incident, students could hardly get in there, how'd you expect us to get in there now it's a crime scene.' Caldwell had a brain after all.
'Wow, we're going on a fucking heist baby!' Nate said with excitement.
'We're gonna sneak in. It's gonna be easy.' Marie said. I was startled by the words sneak in.
                  ********
I checked myself in the  standing mirror after I changed to my night clothes. I looked at my reflection. I simply looked plain. What was I thinking? No boy will ever be interested in me. I'll be an oldie. Andre entered the room but I quickly dived to my bed before he would sense I was becoming body conscious.
'So you can leave that man?' I knew Andre was referring to dad.
'Come on Andre.' I said looking through my closet. I had picked out some black clothes to choose from.
'What's up with these?' asked Andre holding them out. I didn't want to tell Andre but I knew he would find out. Andre and I were so close it almost made us able to communicate telepathically but that's not scientifically possible for humans. Nerd talk.
'My group and I are sneaking into the vandalized principal's office.' I said waiting for that surprised reaction. Instead Andre broke into laughter that confused my prediction.
'Wow Anna, you really crack me up. He said falling to the floor on laughter.
    'I didn't make a joke.'
     'Oh_ you're totally serious? '
'Yeah. I know it's wrong but I don't want to fail Andre. It's like a lot of my grade.' I said. Andre gave me a hug
'My sister is actually on a mission, this is super cool Anna. How did they talk you into it?'
'I actually came up with the plan.' I said. Andre looked very surprised.
'I feel like I'm gonna be woken up from this dream.' Andre said. He was teasing me like I was so big a goodie goodie. Andre lied beside me.
'You're going on a heist. Look at how cool you're getting. Bad girl.' Andre nudged at me making us both laugh.
