I did not like wearing my contact lenses. They were so uncomfortable and kept me longing for glasses instead. Marie's make up and costume skills did not turn out bad. I looked a lot more grown up and maybe even prettier.
'I don't know if I should do this. What if I freeze?'
'See this as putting yourself out there.' Ludie said.
Apart from the fact that Ludie and I were almost the same, this was not exactly a way to put myself "out there".
My hair was let down to cover the earphone I had on and I had a micro camera in my opened up shirt.
I rang the doorbell, a man appeared at the door.
3,2,1 action!
'Who are you and what are you looking for?' He asked with a loud flirty voice.
'Me?' I froze. Relax Anna, put yourself out there. 'Don't mind me, I'm just hometeacher for the new kid... I mean the new hometeacher for the kid.' I said faking a deep African American Texan accent.
'Mark!' The man called. 'You been waiting for a hometeacher?' I don't know who he was asking but the person's answer let me in.
I entered into the big compound with two big houses in it, two smaller houses and fleets of cars. In this compound where did I know to sit?
'Yo.' A boy sitting in a shady place with green plane gestured to me. He could be Anna's mate but not Valerie's (my cover). My guess was that he wanted to flirt but I still went to him and damn! Was I happy I did!
'Hi.' I told the down-to-earth most handsome dude ever! Hot lips, great face and red hair.
'Take a pic Marie.' I whispered.
'You didn't have to tell me.' Marie said. I perceived a smile on her face and a possible drool. I sat down on the chair opposite where he sat.
'You're the new hometeacher?' He asked looking at me as if I was a joke.
'Yes...em...can you just lead me to the sweet seven-year-old I'm teaching?'
'You're looking at him miss, only he's seventeen.' He said looking down at the paper he had been drawing on from the beginning.
'Seventeen?' I shouted, which was unusual. 'I was told seven!' I indirectly was telling my group.
'Sorry you're stuck with me.' He said still drawing.
Damn! How could a boy manage to look so good without showing his face.
'Flirt with him Anna. Guys dig older girls flirting with them.' Marie said. That would have been easy but I did not know how to flirt.
'I know what you're thinking but just tell him what you would say if you weren't such a weirdo.' Marie said.
'So are you gonna teach and let me pretend I know what you're talking about so we can wrap this up.' He said.
'Em....What if we talk about what you wanna hear.' I said with a sexier voice. His hand was on his book so I reached out to take the book and intentionally touched his hand. It felt good to flirt.
'I'm listening.' He said looking at me then going back to drawing.
'So why are you learning business if you don't want to, Mark?' I asked seeing his name beautifully designed on his book.
'My dad wants me to be a business man.'
'And you don't?'
'No I don't. I want to be an artist but he doesn't want that. He thinks I'm just fucking around with a pen and paper.'
'Can't you be an artist and businessman?'
'I want to do art.' He said because he had no other answer. 'Sorry can I say something?'
'Yes... I...I guess.'
'You don't look more than eighteen.' He said. He seriously brought up my age.
'What you talking 'bout boy? I'm way more than eighteen.' I lied.
'Okay.' He said. Mark was still suspicious.
'Well Mark I think business and art are related.'
'I know art is business but I don't wanna be an artist only there for the money.'
'I meant business is an art of it's own. Everything's got art you know?'
'I never saw it that way.'
'No one ever sees it that way but now you have, will you want to be a businessman?'
'I don't know.'
'You know there are ways of showing different arts.' I said not as Valerie but a lusting Anna. I traced back and forth on his palm with a smile; a hopefully seductive smile.
'You know miss, you're a funny lady and very pretty by the way.' Mark said laughing.
'I get that all the time but does yours make me feel like__'
'Anna!' My whole group members pulled me from this flirty talk.
I came out of the fantasy. Mark still had that desperation in his eyes.
I started that desperation? For me?
'We almost lost you girl.' Marie said.
'Excuse yourself from that boy. ' Caldwell said with so much authority but... I still stared at Mark.
'Can I use the bathroom. I really need it.' I said still indirectly flirting.
'Yeah, go into that house, go into the second room on the left, ignore it says Mark's room and use the bathroom there. Maybe I can come show how to use the shower.' Mark said with a wink. This flirting was going too far but I wanted it to keep going. I longed for Mark.
I was on my way to his room when Caldwell screamed my name. It startled me and brought me to a stop. Nobody was there, lucky me.
'Anna, enter the room in front of you instead.' said Caldwell. I tried opening it but it was locked. I looked and noticed three security cameras.
'Guys there are security cameras here!' I said.
'Don't worry, Nate hacked into them already.'
'How?'
'Just enter before Mark comes to show you how the shower works.' Caldwell said sarcastically.
I tried using my hair pin. I was good at picking locks. It opened. It looked like Mr. Sheen's study. There were books and files everywhere.
'Where would I start from guys?'
'Just look for anything secretive.' Marie advised.
Secretive, right.
