I finish talking with a guardian. He wanted me to give him an extreme patrol. I sent him to Europa. Zavala says that we need more guardians patrolling there.
And then I see her. The guardian. She is coming for the official papers of her patrol.
I smile and say: " Hey ! "
" Hi, Cayde can you pass me the papers ? "
" Sooooo, you gonna spend your whole day doing patrols, again ? "
" I have nothing better in my list and there is a lack of patrols there, sooooo I guess that yes I will. "
" Pity. " I commend and I give her a sad smile.
" Why so? " She asks with an inquisitive look.
" I was wondering if you want to have some dinner with me and with the dinner I mean, of course, spicy ramen. "
" It will be a real pleasure Cayde. " she accepts and smiles with this so cute way of hers.
" Perfect! It's closed! Spicy ramen at 8. I gonna take ya by your home, be ready, chosen one. "
" Wait, wait... So this is gonna be a date !? "
" No, no, no, I never said that. " I respond and move my hands to point it out.
" Ok... Forget it. "
" Cayde. " She says after a little awkward silence.
" Is something wrong ? "
" The papers. "
" Oh right ! " I recall and hand her her patrols.
" Good luck guardian ! " I say, smile and wave.
" You too Cayde ! " she does the same.
I see her leaving. Sundance is next to me.
" Why you didn't tell her that it will be a date ? " She asks me.
" And see her refusing my invitation because of this. No way. "
" You don't know if she likes you back. Why are you so pessimistic ? "
" Well, she is the only guardian who managed to use darkness to fight darkness and she is soooooooo amazing. I'm sure I am not the only one who likes her. "
" The great Cayde-6, Vanguard hunter, is afraid of asking the girl he likes to go on a date. I can't believe this. "
I am ready to answer but I see Ikora coming towards me.
" Hi Ikora ! " I greet her and wave.
" Good morning Cayde . " She tells me smiling.
" Sooo, what's up ? "
" I wanted to ask you something. "
" Me !? I never thought that this could ever happen . "
" Excuse me ? " She says turning into a serious face.
" I mean that... eh ... you are the one who knows everything and I am the guy who always asks because he knows nothing. " I explain.
She looks at me a little. I don't know why. She looks at me like I did something. But I didn't do anything !
" Do you like my best friend ? " She finally speaks.
My eyes widen, I open my mouth to speak.
" Zavala !? DON'T BE RIDICULOUS !! I AM NOT GAY !!! " I scream.
" Why is everyone thinking that I am speaking about him. " She says and sighs.
" Everyone ? " I ask.
" Anyways, I meant ( Y/N ) . "
" Maybe or maybe not. " I answer carefully.
" I see ... Have a nice day, tomorrow we've got Crucible. " She says and takes her leave.
I see her walking away.
Sundance appears in front of me.
" Someone knows. " She says.
" I was right, she really knows everything. "
" Oohh, a hunter, this is the perfect time for me to leave. "
" You ghosts are so lucky. "
I say and sigh. I need to wait so many hours until 8.
